recruiting" like that is an issue here in St Louis as well. At least an issue for the shitty public schools who feel like their players are being taken away.

The local governments feeling it’s “their” players because they live in certain neighborhoods.

For 8th graders going into high school.

What a laughable concept.

They also inscribe Catholic on the trophies. No confusion there either.

You must be talking about the ones they are about to forfeit

Catholic never got over that record setting arse whipping Ruston put on them. So they had to get dirty to try and get on that level.

Could care less about Catholic or allegations. Just figured this would be a fun thread to watch and it looks like it’s already several pages with no true allegations being posted yet

Wtf are you head slapping

Lsupride87 with white, country club-going working class parents has a whole lot better of a shot than Random poor black kid with no dad in central city. That’s for sure

The schools are an extension of local government. They’re not an entity to root for. Affected, as in one less person on local government dime? Sign me up.

And envious parents in amateur sports is a tale as old as time.

Don’t like it? Make the sacrifices necessary to send your kids to private school so you can feel better.

If anything the best kids going to better programs opens up spots for kids who wouldn’t play, start, or Star previously. So in a sense, they giving more kids an opportunity to play.

These “recruits” being taken out of North BR and given a proper education and chance to succeed is a huge net positive for everyone

I can’t argue with that.

However, Catholic knew what the rules were when (if) they chose to break them.

If you have an issue with the rules, change them.

FWIW, I believe that there shouldn’t be any boundaries for public school students. In this way...EVERY school could recruit. I am fairly certain Mandeville and Northshore would benefit greatly. Just my .02.

Grew up in a trailer with my siblings until I was 6 while my parents put my dad through college. Never belonged to a country club, but everyone that I competed agaisnt did

Eight pages of non-stop sniping with not the tiniest bit of actual substance as to the topic set forth by the OP.

Damn, this is how you set the hook.

I haven’t heard that they did but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t. Guess we will have to wait and see if/when
