It is getting late in the day. Either the hammer drops or you get banned. Which way will it go?

He has nothing. Made it up out of thin air. Now multiple peoples dinner conversations will include ole Catholic high getting in trouble for recruiting violations. Whack this thread and ban this guy now.

I already texted 17 attorneys that graduated in my class (they are on the text thread with me and the other 76 doctors that graduated in my class), they are already working a case to sue the OP for libel

I thought it was bizarre that the LHSAA would create a “Select” division then drop the hammer on a school for being selective.

The LHSAA can't even decide what the frick is a select school.
An academic magnet pulling from a whole parish? An academic magnet pulling from part of a parish? A charter school with open enrollment? A charter school with selective enrollment? Etc.
About the only things anyone can agree on are that the Catholic League, Curtis, and Evangel are Select. Anyone past that is up to how the LHSAA feels that particular week.

No surprise you bears would have a 94 guy group text. It was probably all dick pics before this thread so OP likely did you a favor.

Walker was 2-6 last year. Must not have worked too well for the Wildcats.

the catholic schools offer tuition assistance based on need, the applications and the tax records go to the diocese for approval. where catholic schools get in trouble is when they bypass the diocese and coaches award tuition assistance.
any kid at a private school is there by choice, dunn wanted to go, his brother did not. Officer Smothers (RIP) demonstrated financial hardship for Warrick, thus he got tuition assistance. his brother would have been eligible for the same assistance if he wanted, obviously he did not.
schools like CHSBR are known, they dont have to recruit athletes, typically it is the parents that do most of the recruiting for the big name schools. shaw was busted because coaches were giving out tuition assistance directly, a coach at CHSBR doesnt have that kind of power unless things have changed dramatically
other private schools driven by churches have had issues where coaches were empowered to offer tuition assistance to athletes as a strategy to build up the school’s brand. there are too many of those to count here. that is what caused the split, Reserve Christian dominating basketball and Evangel dominating football. Curtis is not in that group, everybody pays at Curtiis. JT doesnt offer free rides to anyone that I am aware of.
private schools (including catholic schools) have had issues where boosters pay the tuition of high profile athletes. that is not very common in my experience, but it happens

The only way schools get hammered for recruiting is when it comes from the inside and that's who usually leaks it that something is amiss. Catholic was very lucky the LHSAA did not find out about Guice living with a CHS employee while he was still in school - that would have been a heavy blow.
