Apparent discovery in a nearly 100 page document with proof of severe recruiting violations!

Catholic schools always recruit players. Happens in every state

LHSAA is a useless, bloated, corrupt organization.

Can this stupid split be over because of this?
If not I don’t care

Here is the thing as well. These “recruits” being taken out of North BR and given a proper education and chance to succeed is a huge net positive for everyone
Let’s use warrick dunn. If this board was around back then he would 100% have been considered a recruited player
So Dunn is given the opportunity to go to Catholic, which he credits as being the biggest influence on his life. He then goes on to lead a life where he helps 1000s of inner city minorities change their life
But frick that, for football equity Warrick should have gone to his shitty inner city school and been left to rot
Look, if you want to stop recruiting, make your school something that doesn’t need to be escaped

I see both sides of this argument. However, the LHSAA only focuses on athletics and upholding high school athletics. Not academics.

I’m sending my kids to public school and I have no issues. If privates want to pull kids out of terrible situations and give them a chance in life, I’m all for it
For example how often do schools with good education and safe environments lose kids to actual recruiting? How often does Mandeville lose kids for actual recruiting? How often does West Monroe lose kids going to St. Fred’s? Etc.
I’ll tell my kids to put their head down and compete. Simple enough

Would explain why the head coach left for a crappy position coach job a half a country away

Wait, you think leaving to be a Power 5 position coach is a step down from high school football?
Posted on 3/26/21 at 7:52 am to lsupride87
Maybe that's why the FBI was in Baton Rouge instead of the Wade rumors

When I was at CHS (93-97), some of the dumbest kids in my class were on football scholarships. They also were given free lunches and other perks too. And they were also problem kids in class too, and always got into trouble there. But they were good at football (or track) though.
HS recruiting has always been around, and for CHS to avoid any sort of punishments for this long is actually kinda funny.

Must have changed when I was there. 03-06
Our free kids were a mixed bag of athletes and people who couldn’t chew gun and walk. And they all worked for their scholarship in the summer
Wait a minute. You graduated ‘97 and are obsessed with Saved by the Bell. Holy shite your are chad mahaffey

tis true... I live in SE PA and even wrestling is trending this way. There is a massive hold back this year (8th graders going to repeat next year) and parents shuffling school districts to create 3-5 super teams for the next few years for high school. It's much more of a niche than football so you know all of the kids and it's been hilarious listening to these dads for the last year talking about where they are moving and who else will be there in their kids' weight class, etc. You could almost make a documentary out of it.

its pretty hard to prove that a private school is recruiting kids. If the school is smart they can hide it pretty easily that they brought the kid in only for athletics.

Public schools get around it because they use addresses of those that live in district to enroll kids out of district
For example, Dutchtown pulls kids from nearby Iberville this way and EA pulls kids from Sorrento area. Brusly pulls kids from Port Allen area by using addresses of relatives or kin folk. Happens all the time.
How do you think Walker was pulling kids from all over.
