LSU and Alabama get their fair share from MS, too, though. However, USM has a big advantage with a very strong JUCO system in MS. How old is Jeff Bower? He made them relevant before Fedora. Fedora would never go back, but he should have stayed one more year instead of taking the UNC job. He would have been offered a job with a better football program if he had stayed another year.

I wonder how long it will take schools like WKU and MTSU to either try and follow Marshall and Southern Miss to the SBC, OR try and get into the MAC? Either the SBC or MAC is a better choice than staying in whats left of CUSA.

Uh, dude, nobody, and I mean nobody is going to choose USM over State or Ole Miss. SEC vs C-USA(or now Fun Belt)? That's a no brainer. Southern's facilities look like a Mississippi 6A high school.

Yeah….that played out better in your head. Mickey Mouse Tommy Mac is associate AD @ Vandy now for almost a year. He’s a jackass & It was a dumb comment, but not surprising considering he was at McNeese before Tech.
Poor southern Miss is a dumpster fire program now! I remember their glory years…it’s a shame really

Even though they used to be in it the Marshall fans I've seen online want nothing to do with the MAC. There is nothing appealing about having your team permanently relegated to afterthought status with Tuesday/Wednesday games that nobody can attend.
