re: Rosenthal: For MLB to move on, Astros need to stop saying 2017 title was legit

Are you a Astros fan, Korin? Lol I never knew so if you are. I feel like I only ever cross paths with you on the MTV board and gaming board (may be wrong on gaming board).
I’ve seen you in a lot of threads, just curious.

No. Marlins fan.
I wish I was an Astros fan now though.

Which is fine. I dont believe the commissioners report when it said the Astros cheating stopped sometime in 2018. Nor do I believe that alex Cora randomly ramped down his system once he came to the sox. I think these reports are largely flawed as the players speaking, and the league, have a clear reason to downplay this as much possible

the Dodgers had HFA in that series... and the Astros took 2 games out in LA... including game 7 (which also has to mean that the Dodgers won a game in HOU)
and just to put it out there... I'm a college baseball (LSU) fan and don't really care much about MLB... I did start caring about the Astros b/c of Alex Bregman (whose numbers were better on the road than at home... as CPM will happily tell anyone and everyone)

I guess I should say this. I dont expect this to be the #1 sport story in the country for the entire season like it is right now. But I do expect it to survive as the #1 story in baseball for at least the season

Ken Rosenthal can lick my nuts.

Astros title is legit. Wish they would've continued to bend the rules better in 2018/2019 for a three-peat.

Lmao. Tollway in Dallas.

I think the Astros should trade the biggest players and start over losing 100 games with AAA players.
Do this for three years and have a new slate come the 2024 season. Scrub the kettle clean.

It's just baseball who cares?

It's like every other sports scandal in the history of sports, it'll go away entirely by next season.

Joseph Jefferson Jackson (July 16, 1887 – December 5, 1951), nicknamed "Shoeless Joe", was an American outfielder who played Major League Baseball (MLB) in the early 1900s. He is remembered for his performance on the field and for his association with the Black Sox Scandal, in which members of the 1919 Chicago White Sox participated in a conspiracy to fix the World Series. As a result of Jackson's association with the scandal, Kenesaw Mountain Landis, Major League Baseball's first commissioner, banned Jackson from playing after the 1920 season despite his exceptional play in the 1919 World Series, in which he led both teams in several statistical categories and set a World Series record with 12 base hits. Since then, Jackson's guilt has been fiercely debated with new accounts claiming his innocence and urging Major League Baseball to reconsider his banishment. As a result of the scandal, Jackson's career was abruptly halted in his prime, ensuring him a place in baseball lore.

Last I checked my eyes saw them win.
The only thing you saw was them stealing a title, which should be vacated.

Jesus Christ. The Astros haters on this board are just like the woman who leaves the room after an argument but keeps coming in to say “And another thing!!”

In come the LSU fans to act like they haven't been bitching about Bama refs and cheating for a generation now.

MLB will never release everything, if it does it can cause a ton of damage among fans, ownership, and players. They are going to try to love without letting everyone know.
What we do know teams cheated, MLB came out and laid out the framework of what can get you in trouble, some teams either failed to comply or thought they could get around that. Some teams may have changed their methods completely. We won't know because MLB won't say.
