the ONLY reason this has blown up the way it is is b/c not only did the Astros win the World Series... but it's who they beat on the way to the title

Boston

New York

Los Angeles

If it had been Cleveland, Minnesota, & Arizona... this wouldn't be anywhere near as big of a story... but the big media markets gotta get their stories & air time out of this

What about the Red Sox whenever they get punished for doing the same thing. Are they going to have to give up their title also?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe their report has been released yet and is expected this Friday.

If it’s as damning as Houston’s report then yeah they should.

Nationally, people will stop caring about this real quick I think. Other than getting thrown at, and even that won't be an issue if it's a situatoin where the Astros player just takes his base and doesn't escalate.

I mean he’s not wrong....

The media largely wrote off the Cleveland claims about the staff using pine tar because no one cared that we crushed the Indians in 2018.

Beat the Dodgers Yankees or Red Sox? Someone has to pay

This has gotta be the most disingenuous, ridiculous melt in the history of sports, pro baseball is not a pure sport nor has it ever been pure and teams strive to cheat all the time, get over it not like sign-stealing’s against the rulebook

That doesnt even follow logic. After yall beat the dodgers, yankees, and red sox in 2017, the Indians accused yall of cheating in 2018, only for the media to largely ignore it. But now they are beating everyone over the heads with it in 2020 because yall beat the dodgers and Yankees and red sox in 2017?

Yeah, Beltran and Cora ran the thing in Houston, but when Cora went to Boston he backed way off of it. Not nearly as extensive.

They bided their time trying to find weaknesses until they found the weakest link-Mike fiers . Did they ask him about pine tar? No. Interesting don’t you think given the slab of pine tar on his glove in the past...

Once we get into the season, this will be talked about minimally.

Doubt it... they will be booed allllll season and likely a couple brawls will come of it.

Interesting the media didnt latch on like this whenever the dodgers, yankees, or red sox made accusations about the Astros over the past 3 years.

It’s up to MLB to decide that.

I think you guys are missing my point.

They will be booed everywhere they go. I'm saying that will only be covered nationally at first, and by August, no one will care or know they're being booed unless you're watching the game.

Once we're 3+months into the season, the only time it will spark back up is when things, like you mentioned a brawl, occur.

And that report will be taken as gospel. Astros report says they didn’t cheat in 2019, but that can’t be right!

Not really directing that at you, I just know that’s gonna happen.

I guess I should say this. I dont expect this to be the #1 sport story in the country for the entire season like it is right now. But I do expect it to survive as the #1 story in baseball for at least the season

Interesting that the Dodgers welcomed Betts with open arms.
