You want this just to feel vindicated. It's kinda pathetic.

So like I said, he'll sell to the highest bidder, not who the NBA forces him to sell to.

There is exactly a 0.0% chance he will be "forced" to sell to anyone in particular.

If the league gets caught “discouraging” bidders who are insufficiently minority, I’m pretty sure he could sue them for tortious interference and claim the difference.

The league’s owners may be able to choose their membership but doing so in a way that isn’t legally defensible isn’t a fight they want to have right about now.

It was bizarre how much that dude was melting about this whole thing. Bro who gives a frick lol. Go outside.

It’s like if something can be classified as “politically adjacent” in anyway it must be preached about for him.

... think about this ...

Does this mean that wnba player - Grinder - will not get all that money once released from Russian prison??

Maybe this is what it is all about...

Is there any value in the Mercury? They lose money like the rest of the WNBA then who would buy a low prestige cash negative franchise?

Tremendous value - it gets you access to Adam Silver and the Association and on the short list to buy an NBA franchise as they come available.

If I were a multi billionaire who wanted to buy an NBA team I'd definitely by a WNBA team first (and would be willing to vastly overpay) if one were available.

I would sell the sun's for 1 million and the mercury for 2 billion just to piss off everyone.
Women get there billion dollar franchise thus increasing the value of wnba teams and forcing the NBA to loose more money on a shitty product. 1 last screw you

one of the worst sports owners

He may be but this was nothing but a targeted hit job by ESPN to remove an unwoke owner. Daniel Snyder is next though he's held out longer than the others after the Washington Post hit job. He will bend the knee to the woke mob eventually.

Correct. It's another example of woke culture mob running roughshod over any due process. As long as they can accuse you're considered guilty, and if they think you're in the way you're always guilty.

One thing not being talked about is that the rumors are VERY hot right now that Las Vegas and Seattle will be announced as expansion teams soon.

The Suns deal could help set the market, and increase those sales, and put substantially more money in every owner's pockets...including the new owner of the Suns.

Yea on ESPN they talking 2.5 billion.

i wonder who would fork over that kind of dough in today's world. is owning an NBA team still considered a good investment? seems like the sport is trending downward in terms of interest/popularity especially compared to the NFL.

Would be amazing if the highest bidder was a Vegas group.

The report came from interviewing 900 current & former employees.

Espn is the least of Sarvers worries
