I love baseball but it’s dying at the major league level.

What does this mean?

It’s thriving at levels below it?

doesn't mean anything. he's just regurgitating a hot take that he has seen elsewhere and passing it off as his own idea while not understanding what the frick he is talking about.

I’m sure FAs will just be drooling over spending their next 8 years playing for the Mexico City Iguanas

A's to Portland, Rays to Montreal and Marlins to Nashville or Charlotte seems like an easy fix to me. I'm sure it's a stupid idea since it's the first thing I thought of.

ETA: I'm sure Marlins Park would be a reason to not move, but no one goes anyway.

Have we discussed their stance on transgender bathrooms yet? Should be a central point towards the possibility of awarding them a franchise.

I just think all pro sports are thriving here

Game attendances are always high and ratings do well

These Big 3 leagues need to stop bringing up Mexico as anything more than designated trips. Cant believe they would actually consider putting teams over there

no. Vegas couldn't happen bc of the perception tied to gambling. There was a coordinated effort to get federal ban on gambling thrown out so that it would ultimately open of the Vegas market.

Exactly. If they really want to appeal to the Mexican media markets just stick a team in San Antonio.

Mexico would be a pretty hard sell to any FA that wasnt born in Mexico and I'm sure even some of those guys wouldnt want to play 82+ games essentially in a warzone

Less MLB teams not more would be better for the sport as 3 or 4 teams cannot support their teams in their markets as is. More people at an LSU baseball game than some

The all or nothing offense imo, makes for uninteresting baseball. Homers at the rate they’re being hit, aren’t very exciting anymore. A shitty brand of offense is killing baseball imo. Expansion reeks of weird, forced desperation. There isn’t enough talent as is on teams. Not enough superstars. Not enough players staying with one team to build it into a competitive organization. Playoffs into fricking November. Etc.

The AL is so bad the Rangers are trying to tank, but instead are in the middle of the Wild Card chase.

Something like a quarter of MLB is from Spanish speaking countries. I seriously doubt dudes from Venezuela or the Dominican Republic would be clutching their pearls at the idea of playing in Mexico. Also, while Monterrey may get a little dicey in certain areas cities like Mexico City and Cancun would be fine for athletes to live in. It's not like Liga MX soccer players are getting shot up all the time.

Approve of everything!!!

Go to 100% DH...and play every team in MLB. Give fans more choice! Sick of watching the Indians have to play the Royals, Twins, Chi Sox and Tigers every week.
Expand to new markets. Minor league baseball is killing it!
I would assume with 2 more team that there will be expanded playoffs?

Portland, LV, Nashville, and Charlotte all deserve a chance at a team before Montreal. They had a chance. And population is swinging into those areas. I would like another southern team to push the Braves.

A Rays stadium in downtown Tampa would absolutely kill. St Pete is close to nothing from Tampa.
