Because someone said the 90s was when the US was most dominant at its peak. Which isn't true. It's today.

US GDP in 2025 is inclusive of $2T/year of deficit spending which didn’t exist in 1992.

Remove the $2T and the numbers change massively.

Here is the video I was talking about. Amongst top 100 global largest companies by market cap: Europe and US were tied in 2007 with around $5 trillion market cap. Today the US has 7x the amount of market cap than any other country or continent amongst top 100 largest companies. US set a record in 2024 accounting for 63% of all global market between the Nasdaq and NYSE. Basically, the US stock markets are worth 2x more than the rest of the world's combined. This is all due to the Nvidias, Amazons, Apple, Meta, Google (Alphabet), Microsoft.

Now this could actually be a bad thing meaning a recession upcoming. Who knows.

Back when we were a proper country, and people didn't fake the funk on a nasty dunk.

Today in 2025? US stock markets (NYSE and NASDAQ) are 6x the market cap of all Europe's stock markets combined.

Because the Gov't is flooding the market with cash inflating the stock market but it's also why inflation went crazy. Back then a house was much more affordable than today.

That Pizza Hut buffet with a pitcher of Pepsi and the dessert pizza

No Pizza Hut was excellent before Pepsi bought them and went cheap on the ingredients in the early 80s. Those that remember the red cups filled with Coca-Cola and that original Pizza Hut recipe will agree

This isn't true. US has never been more dominant than today. In 2000, US stock markets had the same market cap as all of Europe's stock markets combined. Today in 2025? US stock markets (NYSE and NASDAQ) are 6x the market cap of all Europe's stock markets combined. In 2011, Canada and US had same GDP per Capita $53,000. Today? Canada is at $57,000, US is at $90,000. Many countries have not recovered since the 2008 recession. US did long ago. Every major tech company is HQ'd here: Meta, Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, Google, Amazon has solidified US as most dominant country. This has by far biggest reason to do with the further advancing of US dominance since 2000. You can even see it in the Summer Olympics, up until 1996 or 2000, US would lose occasionally to Russia or someone else. Since 2000, US has led in total medals and gold medals every time (besides 2008 China in Gold medals because they had home field advantage even though US still had total medals). Some may say China blah, blah, blah. They are still poor, just have 1.5 billion people. Their GDP is about $10 trillion less than the US, yet they have 5x as many people. Individually, they make as much as Mexico in per capita.

So……. No Pizza Hut mini basketballs?

I worked at the George O'Neal Pizza Hut throughout the 90s and also the West Main Pizza Hut in Houma. Used to get one of those balls every year. I also remember one year they had a long string of pendants that they hung from the ceiling that featured all of the past national champions and the year they won, and once the promotion ended they let me have it.

I had this one from the 1990 Final Four in Denver. I kept it in pristine condition for about 15 years. I came home from work one day and my young toddler was playing with it. My ex-wife said he asked if he could play with it so she gave it to him. I couldn’t be mad.

My mother has Parkinson's, so my brother just moved back home from Texas to here in Mississippi to live with her. They were cleaning out my old room a few weeks ango and found this ball which my mom is now using for her Parkinson's physical therapy.

I was cleaning out a closet last Saturday and found this bad boy.
