Well, hate to see this as a Chiefs fan but obviously he deserves a punishment for the crime. I'd guess the 2 cars were drag racing but who knows.

Speculation.

Hold on a second, you didn’t object. Yes, it is complete speculation, but I’d be willing to bet on the fact that there was driver impairment.

So, what reason would there be to flee the scene, especially if there are injuries, when it can only make things worse for you? The obvious reason is that he was impaired, but the passage of time makes that impossible to prove by law.

Which is why he ran.

Good legal question not sure. It seems like there would be a law to stop drunks from fleeing the scene for that purpose of hiding it from the law. Otherwise they would all do this.

Hit and run with injuries is a class B felony in Dallas. The rumor is that somebody is in the hospital from this crash.

If you run it should be auto DUI. I know that might be harsh but make people take responsibility for their actions.

In today's video world the only reason to run is if you are drunk, high or have other legal issues

Ruggs got off to easy.

Quite the pay cut and I would say so, he is up for parole in August 2026.

Ruggs, who once earned millions as part of the Raiders, is now working at the Stewart Conservation Camp for a meager $2.50 per hour. The facility, adjacent to the Northern Nevada Correctional Center, houses the former NFL star as he serves his prison sentence for a deadly crash that occurred in November 2021.Feb 1, 2024

Lucky for Rashee, his coach knows a lawyer who can help with this situation.

Huh? If the person in the hospital dies the difference is we just won’t have a formal radar speed or a BAC measurement since he fled

They were racing during the day too, in a congested area. Could have easily killed or disabled others from the crash

Don’t be delusional, they’re both from the same pile of trash. It’s the justice system’s job to lock up those who are threats to others. Everyone would benefit from him taking a year off

Story just got a little stranger.

The cleats found in his car were “stolen from a charity event” earlier that day.

We now live in a post-accountability society for the elites, wealthy, & poor. Only the middle class is held accountable for their actions. I will be shocked if he doesn't get but a slap on the wrist for this.

We drove on the overpass at Knox over 75 about an hour after this happened & saw all the traffic stopped heading north. To drag race on any part of 75 in this area takes a special kind of stupid person. It can be gridlock no matter what time of the day or night.
