When I first heard this story. I figured it was an exaggeration. Like maybe he cut his finger and need stitches type thing. I didn't think his finger would actually be gone... well if anything that will lead to an awesome story for them grandkids

It doesnt take much to knock off part of a finger. My old man slipped and fell while walking up some bleachers and used hands to break his fall. Needless to say, the tips of his fingers got caught between his body and the metal bleachers and were severed like a knife thru butter.
His pointer and middle finger now look like this guys bc its hard to attach just the tips of fhe finger above the 1st knuckle.

It sucks.... But that isn't bad at all. Can't tell you the number of people we saw in our clinic/ER that had shite like that. Be happy it didn't happen courtesy of a table saw. The worst was when a parent slammed their kids finger in a car door!!

Those can be rough. Mine was a wood planer. Tough to describe, but it looked like my fingers were sliced open and the bone was scraped out. Lotta skin and muscle and shite flapping around

I was at the Redemptorist vs Parkview game a few years ago and all of a sudden the Parkview players started milling around with their heads down obviously looking for something. Then, the refs stopped the game and started helping them look on the ground. They eventually had all the players from both teams line up shoulder to shoulder and walk across the field scouring the field in search of something. My cousin was an assistant coach for Redemptorist so I went down and asked him what was going on and he said that one of the Parkview players lost the tip of his finger and they were trying to help him find it. I don't think they ever found it.
