Now imagine fans holding up a gay/trans rights signs and wearing rainbow shirts last year

Not only would they not have been ejected, imagine the media/Twitter meltdown if they did eject them

The 76ers (ironically enough) and the NBA are a fricking disgrace to this country for selling their souls to Chinese communism like this. But even Judas sold out Jesus for money.

oh yeah they clearly have an out but as you said choosing to act on it will have consequences. The directive definitely came from the top because I'm sure they were anticipating this long of stuff. I would guess they've issued a list of guidelines on how to deal with this.

If so, I maintain he wasn’t aiming for the league as a whole. I think he specifically did it to frick with his boss, Rockets owner Tillman Fertita, since the Rockets are so big in China.

Here’s a thought... if a team’s tickets are being dumped on Stubhub, like when the Sixers were tanking a few years back and tickets were $2, a bunch of people should buy up those cheap seats and be as obnoxious as possible with the HK stuff.

Wouldn’t cost much and would be highly visible if there aren’t many other fans there, which should be the case if tickets are being dumped at bargain basement prices like that.

Where’s Kerr, Pop, and Lebron to blast the league for this fan being treated unfairly?

You are correct there is no legal issue.

However, do you find it somewhat hypocritical the NBA now doesnt want political messages in their arena?

Does he find it hypocritical? Probably not.

Is it hypocritical? Absolutely.

You are only allowed to take a stance as long as it doesn’t hurt the business’s bottom line.

It is hypocritical of course

But as I said I have no issue if there was a warning on the ticket. Sorry. NBA teams are there for entertainment not a vehicle to voice politics or engage in political statements. But they’ve crossed that line and people take their view as word.

And apparently you know my thinking now.

100% this.

The NBA for whatever reason is absolutely chicken shite over China.

Seriously, the Chinese communist party can burn in hell and the NBA can go with them.

The NBA can obviously do whatever they want, but it’s impossible to reconcile this statement with the fact that the NBA allows players, coachs, execs, etc to voice political opinions all. the. time.

The league is being absolutely gutless, but yes, it is their right to be absolutely gutless.
