NBA teams are there for entertainment not a vehicle to voice politics or engage in political statements.
While I agree with you in theory on this, as you yourself say right after:
quote:

But they’ve crossed that line and people take their view as word.

every single bit of shite the NBA gets on this is self-inflicted and entirely warranted. I don't think you're arguing against that for the record, but:
quote:

But as I said I have no issue if there was a warning on the ticket.

In the sense that they have the right to act accordingly based on said warnings, I still would think having an issue with them doing so is fair and valid considering their sheer hypocrisy on this matter. I do not mean a legal issue, but a criticizing issue as they obviously didn't do anything illegal in ejecting the fan (afaik), but it's absolutely fricked up.

You would think that a group of largely minority players who self-identity as "slaves" would be more outspoken in support of people struggling against an oppressive government that has slaughtered tens of millions.

You would, but they are not going to give up the money they are making for something a vast amount of Americans do not truly care much about.

If we are so into human rights violations of the Chinese, why are we purchasing Nike, Adidas, and multiple other goods produced by the people?

I mean should we not purchase Under Armor because the vast majority is made in shops in Central and South America in same conditions?

My whole point is you have decisions to make, once you act on those decisions there are consequences for those decisions/actions.

NBA is getting spit on by some folks right now.

Most Americans and especially fans here wouldn't have cared if the NBA admins and players hadn't been preaching about systemic racial abuse and trans rights for five straight years. Plus those same companies have been getting bagged on for labor practices since the year 2000. The NBA created this problem just like Blizzard did.

This.

The hypocrisy is the issue, not the NBA's response to this in a vacuum.

Beautiful! The Leftist NBA, its loud-mouthed Leftist players, owners and employees are now compelled to defend the interests of the murderous, repressive fascistic Red China -- ALL THE WHILE they continue to condemn their own country, the USA, for Racism.

Of course they won't. They are SJWs ONLY when it comes to bashing the USA.

Meanwhile in China

quote:

A man in China has been arrested after he threatened to burn the national flag on social media while wearing a Houston Rockets jersey, according to reports.

Ad

Howard Wang, 25, was taken into custody Tuesday and is accused of publishing "insults directed against the national flag" on Weibo, which is China's version of Twitter, on Sunday, according to CNN, which cited authorities. The arrest comes amid a week of fractured relations between the NBA and China, due to a tweet from Rockets general manager Daryl Morey that expressed support for human rights protests in Hong Kong, which are considered anti-government. (Morey later deleted the tweet and offered an apology).

The post includes Wang with a photo of himself appearing on the verge of burning the flag, with the caption "I live and die with the team." According to CNN, Wang told police to "come and arrest him." Flag desecration is illegal in China and violators could face up to three years in prison. Comments reacting to his post included, "He has committed crime of splitting the state, he deserves a life sentence, he will keep creating troubles to society."

The fact that this even exists still boggles my mind, yet not surprised either. That's what happens when you grow up in a setting where it's tow the party line or get fricked.

Congrats on the new one coming soon! Aggiebelle's finally ready for baby #2, I think. Quattro's a little bundle of muleheaded energy but I'm loving it. He's a good kid and loves to talk. Going through potty training now

I give props to Jason Whitlock. He blasted Pop and Kerr and players who bash the USA, and support Communist.

My point is, if you're going to virtue signal on SJW issues to get the praise from a sycophantic press and ESPN, you better be able to handle getting dumped on when you are exposed for being the hypocritical knee-bender you actually are.

Of course they aren’t gonna give up that money, they’re complete corporate shills at the end of the day. It’s easy when you’re preaching to the choir and calling Trump evil but when ACTUAL OPPRESSION occurs and they’re silent, all the proof I need these players and execs are bought and paid for from a corporate perspective.

You're right, I'm sure you wouldn't find any fans who held political signs that agreed with the NBA's stances on issues, eh?
