Probably because he was hobbled by a foot injury, shoulder injury, and multiple finger injuries last year. He basically limped his way through the year.

Yes, please fall in love with a QB. Give us all of your picks.

If they played NFL in shorts, t-shirts and with 7 on 7...

I'd love Levis, too. But at some point you are what the tape says you are, and he's mad arse at the actual sport of football.

Will Levis has been a top 5 pick for months, let’s not act like this is crazy

His body of work & play-style is not dissimilar to Matthew Stafford

Same.

Much moreso than most.

Something doesn't sit right w/Levis.

He couldn't beat out Sean Clifford at Penn State. That's a huge red flag to me.

Kyler Murray couldn’t “beat out” Kyle Allen either

This is a nutty point. Transferring for opportunity, especially at QB, is a nothing burger.

Well it worked with Josh Allen didn’t it?

He definitely has the tools and ability in place, but it seems like all positive traits disappear when the bullets start flying.

He can handle his own against inferior competition, but he always disappeared in games where the other side brought equal or better talent. Not a good recipe for the NFL where you're facing all world talent and speed every week.

He should be drafted and given a shot to develop in the league, but I think anything in the first 3 rounds is a overreach on him. He will get anyone who drafts him in the 1st round fired, imo.

So here's my Levis spiel:

- Judging him on this last season for his potential isn't a great barometer IMO. Our offensive line was so bad this last season that at one point they had broke a 15 year SEC record for most sacks allowed in a season. It was BAD.

- Scangarello at OC might've been worse than Eddie Gran. It was really, really bad. Stoops generally isn't the type to fire a guy with haste and he only made it one season. That says a lot to what was going on from a scheme perspective. It didn't work for anyone. At one point one of our WRs publicly came out and blame him playcalling for a loss.

- Rodriguez was out for 4 games and that put sole pressure on Levis to be the offense. In a bad scheme and with a shite OL.

- He was injured from around the Ole Miss game through the rest of the season. He sat out against South Carolina. He didn't play in our bowl game (rightfully so).

This picture pretty well encapsulates what his season was like this last season:

In the previous season with a NFL OC as his OC (Coen) he won 10 games and a Citrus Bowl. He was also behind a quality OL. I can't count on one hand how many 10 win seasons we've had in my life at Kentucky. That shouldn't be understated either.

Of course, if you are being drafted at the top of the first round, you are still likely to be behind a relatively poor OL with limited weapons, which is the main reason I think it is such a bad idea to take these supposed all world QBs so high.

Levis against Tennessee’s 127th ranked passing defense:

16 of 27 for 98 yards, 0 TDs, and 3 INTs

Levis against Kentucky’s 128th ranked passing defense:

11 of 23 for 109 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT

JT Barrett was always better than Sean Clifford.

Barrett threw 104 TDS in 4 years ran for another 43 compared to Clifford’s 86 passing and 15 rushing TDs in 5 years.

All 3 of the top QBs could be busts, but Levis didn't exactly light it up against anyone with any talent this last year
Levis also played injured all season. He didn't have a stud wr either. He has the highest upside of the top 3 qb's. Stroud had a ton more talent around him. I wouldn't draft Stroud in the top 20.

Levis wasn't injured for those games. Rumor was he broke his foot during the Ole Miss game and still toughed it out during the year. Also sustained a shoulder injury as well.

What the scouts love is his toughness...playing in a NFL offensive system at UK...has a cannon of an arm...and a body that is NFL ready.
