People on this board make out Mac Jones to be the next Brady.....

I don't see it. Sorry, I just don't. He has been surrounded by superior talent his entire time at Bama. Every throw is wide open, he never throws anyone open. No tight windows. If he hadn't been surrounded by all-world talent at Bama, he'd be at best mediocre IMO. Having all that talent around him has made it easy for him. He's never faced pressure or adversity.
Also, and this is big; he has only started around 15 games in college. You need more starts than that in order to be ready for the next level. Look no further than Trubkisky, who only started 13 games in college, to see my point. He's just the most recent and the one who popped in my head first. There are plenty of other examples.
Here is how I rate the QB's:
1. Sunshine
2.Zach Wilson
3. Justin Fields
Everyone else..
And to end, I'm gonna drop this here and let it marinate:
Dane Brugler
@dpbrugler
Something to keep in mind:
"Multiple NFL scouts have told me they consider the 2022 QB class to be "underwhelming" based on early scouting.
That could obviously change, but also one of the reasons they expect teams to be aggressive in April to get one of the top QB's."

is 2022 a typo or am I completely missing something?

Trevor Lawrence will be a bust is my take.

He could be. Or he could be the next JaMarcus Russell. Either way has had an almost perfect season and won a national championship.
And by the way, nobody knew Brady was going to be Brady.

And all of this success isn’t entirely because he has open throw after open throw. He's actually thrown into a tight window on 15.2% of his passes this season, a rate that is about four percentage points higher than Tagovailoa's last season and is nearly double that of Justin Fields (8.3%) this year. Oh, and Jones has also been the most accurate passer on tight-window throws this season — by a large margin.

Dick Vitale said so last night.

Nice, well-thought out rebuttal.

I just noticed that. I thought it was too. I don't think it is.

When they compare Mac to Brady they're really comparing their doughboy skinny fat bodies.

They're talking about next year's QB class which is very unimpressive. I've seen mock drafts that have Sam Howell going #1 and Kedon Slovis going #2 overall. No offense to those guys but they're not Joe Burrow or Trevor Lawrence or even Justin Fields.

Brady is the exception to the rule.
Mac ain't worth a 1st rd grade, let alone 2nd rd.
Quit using Brady in this scenario

It’s not a typo. You just don’t understand that Brugler is saying Mac will be part of the strong 2021 QB class and not part of the weaker 2022 QB class.

I think he could fit in fantastic with the Saints offense and could be the next brees

Burrow and Jones are nowhere close to Brady and never will be on a NFL field
Lawrence reminds me more of Roethlisberger type player and will have a similar career

Mac Jones is too smart to be a good athlete. They just think too much.
I can't believe I just typed this about an Alabama football player.

Brady was the poster child for mediocrity when he got to the league. He was in the right system to succeed. Had he been in another system, he may have been a career backup.
In the right system Jones may be successful. Plenty teams take players whose skill set doesn’t fit what they’re trying to do offensively. Time will tell...

Thankfully that noodle armed racist Jake Fromm decommitted from Alabama and went to Georgia. Otherwise Bama probably never gets Mac.
