I thought I saw that Penix was pummeled on the last interception return. The telecast didn't show a replay but I thought I saw it at probably around the 15 or 20 yard line. If so, that could have been what hurt him.

He met a real defense and folded on the biggest stage after having many claim he lost the Heisman unjustly. His pride and ego was injured. Dude walked into the stadium with an ego he couldn't match.

Nah. Penix actually made the tackle, I'm pretty sure, or was right there when the Michigan guy was tackled.

The dude that got faceplanted at the 20 or so was #7.

He was hurt on the first INT when his lineman stepped on his leg.

He was around the tackle, but pulled a Cam Newton...

It was the poor RB that was basically crippled last week that got blown up. I feel so bad for the guy, the other RBs were such dog shite that he felt he needed to play with serious injuries and basically zero ability to move laterally.

Penix wasn't on last night. Washington didn't really have a chance unless he was throwing darts. Overthrows and throwing behind doomed them.

I'm too lazy to look for the play, but it seemed like he started holding his ribs after that 4th down play where he threw the ball up to Odunze and there was a PI that was offset by a holding call.

His accuracy has really been up and down during the back half of the season.

If Penix played average last night, this is a one score game. Some will say Michigan’s defense played a part, and they did to an extent. Penix missed 2 easy td passes in the first half. Washington could have easily been up at the half.

One of those was a wrong route by Odunze, which he admitted to after the game. He said it was supposed to be a corner route, which is exactly where Penix threw it, but Odunze was so surprised he was as open as he was, he turned the wrong way and went straight up field.

Washington's OL had given Penix tons of time this year. He'd only been sacked 11 times on something like 550 drop backs, and he was getting pressured all night. Not saying that should have caused all the bad throws, but the Michigan DL definitely got to him.

Everything I've read about him says he's as low ego and team focused as they get.

The hate for Penix on this board is kind of silly. And the people talking about his ego are more than likely just speaking out of their arse.
