The coach and his dad were singled out to be suspended for two games. There has to be something more to this story.

First of all I'd never have even thought of ever disrespecting or talking back to any of my football or baseball coaches in high school. If I had disrespected my coach like these twerps it wouldn't be the coach I'd been the most scared of it'd been my Daddy. He would've beat my arse until I was black and blue for 3 months straight if I'd even thought of talking to a coach like they did. The thing is I was taught respect for coaches and all authority figures by my parents. My parents weren't my friends and I didn't want them to be. They were my parents and raised me right unlike these pieces of shits.

This is the real world, his admin didn't have his back. Who is going to keep them out of the stadium?

Small town HS football is a thing, man. We have old retired guys who don't even have anyone on the team go watch the practices. The school put up a set of bleachers on the practice field so they wouldn't have to stand up.

Man, stfu. If you break a protective order, police cuff you. Do you understand. Once served, they get arrested if they break it

You are presupposing that this coach is going to waltz right in and get a protective order.

We’re talking about a small town. The school already took the players’ side. That shows that pressure was already being applied. What if one of the players’ daddies was a politician, mayor or city council member? What if he was a cop? What if he was a lawyer? What if he was a big businessman employing a lot of people?

Any one of those people could make a phone call and make it where the coach would play hell trying to get a restraining order or get any help at all dealing with this.

I’ve already said for the record that what happened to this guy was horrible, but the reality in an imperfect, unfair world is that what’s good and right doesn’t always prevail.

Can we get some more reality TV out of high school football?

We had Two-A-Days with Hoover High, that time Dick Butkus coached Montour HS in Pennsylvania before bailing prior to the end of the season. I also remember Mike Pettine (yes, the one that coached the Browns) being in a two part ESPN film when he coached the North Penn Knights, but couldn’t beat his dad’s squad at CB West.

Coach & Dad were suspended bc sat the 2 players longer than he said would. Wow. The 2 players had multiple personal fouls in loss to rival school. 100 % school & parents in the wrong. 2 bad apples who have never been told no didn't get there way.

If the administration didn’t back him and his decisions who’s going to keep the parents out? Is he allowed to lock the gate and no fans enter? If not, who stands there and checks IDs for the parents only?

Don’t be dumb.

Not of you think threats aren't taken seriously on campus of a high school. Coach COULD have easily handled the situation. He didn't. Oh well.
But the fact that the school might have ignored an employee needing protection, well, that would have opened an entire can of worms.
IF somehow, administration did this, and it can be proved, he will sue that district for as much as he wants....just watch.

One text, email, video, recording, etc...from one school official....and this thing is a slam dunk win for him

The coach has no ability to ban the parents from the stadium. The Principal would have to get that done with the approval of the SI at some places.

Our Varsity Hoops coach was a dork. Old boy we loved retired and Junior year this geek got the job. Nobody respected him, we walked all over him.

He had a meltdown, probably long overdue, and benched the Varsity and took the JV to a game against our rivals. We were not allowed to travel with the team, but we showed up and cheered them on as they got gang raped. Humiliated the coach further as we screamed and yelled, cheering a made FT when they were down 50.

He was relieved in the off-season and the new coach was back to business and we stopped fricking off.

Absolutely. Sixteen year old Iowa boys in the nineties. Two wrong turns from a meth lab and/or prison.

Tires slashed and threats to his safety for benching a player? You fricking right they can ban parents from school property. I wouldn't quit! Id bench them and see what's up. Then, if needed, file protective orders against those dumb enough to threaten

You might be able to read but it's pretty clear you fricking suck at actually comprehending what you've just read. The school admin bowed down to the parents dude. The coach had no recourse.
