Josh Pate has been to them all and said Autzen is the loudest stadium in the Big. I don’t care because no one is louder than Tiger Stadium.
That’s just not physically possible.
Oregon is 54K
Penn State is 106K
Come on people don’t be prisoners of the moment.

University of Washington gets very loud.

Because they pipe in/amplify crowd noise.
It should not be permitted.
Kind of a retarded home field advantage to just blare phony crowd noise

They do, it’s a large stadium.
I’ve been to some of the biggest games at Autzen and Husky stadium.
I’ll take Autzen.

Michigan stadium is large and they don’t know how to be loud.
Loudness isn’t just based off seating capacity. It’s whom fills those seats.
Big ten is a bunch of pussies. Exactly why osu cancelled their return trip years ago.

USC games are usually blowouts so I can see why you don’t think it’s very loud.

Two people around him yelling , and not very vociferously. He’s just a pussy

Nah I disagree. The Big10 is the closest thing to SEC regarding passionate fans who live and breathe CFB. The ACC are the pussies.
Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Washington, Oregon, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota and Ohio State are all very big and very loyal fan bases very similar to their SEC counterparts.
How is Michigan State any different than Mississippi State? How is Penn State any different than Georgia? The regional bias is insane.

Its not size, it's science. Been to Happy Valley and Autzen, Penn State you can enjoy the game.
Autzen is built into the ground. You enter the stadium at ground level and you're at the top level seating. Sound doesn't escape.
It's not a pleasant place to watch a CFB game, so nothing to brag about TBH.
Its like a screeching Jet trying to take off in an airplane hanger that is closed shut and the fans never frickin' sit or shut-up.
Funny science quirk. While standing, you can't hear the person next to you. But if you crouch down to the ground, it's total silence.
It's really one of a kind place that people who've never been, would think it was tall tales and be dismissive because it's foreign to them because no other place produces this type of ear ringing uncomfortable screeching noise. Its a DIFFERENT kind of loud.

Explain this in science terms. Why doesn't the sound "escape" when it does at a place like Michigan that is also sunk into the ground.

I hear you. Pun intended but let me ask this. Why does Oregon not expand beyond 54K? That seems very small. Like can they not justify a 65-70K stadium? I know for sure they can’t justify a 100K stadium very few even can but not at least 60K?

Sort of, but you have to walk up as the field itself is ground level. Due to the location along the river and to save money, when they first built the stadium they piled up a huge mound of dirt and carved a stadium inside.

Wait, do you seriously think the only determinant of how loud a stadium is is the seating capacity?
