I love Tom Watson as much as the next guy, but can he quit playing Majors already?

Wow, Keegan doubled one of the easiest holes on the course. He's gonna miss the cut and it's going to kill me in the best ball pick em.

Why should Watson quit now? He's still somewhat competitive? Other great played on much longer without even close to any form(look at Palmer and Player at Augusta). Jack competed to about the same age and didn't have Watson's form.
Watson in majors From 2009 Open to now:
2009 Open 2nd
2010 Masters 18th
2010 US Open 29th
2011 Open 22nd
2012 Open 77th
2014 Open 51st
Plus 4 MC at Augusta, 2 at the Open, and 2 at PGA
Hes only playing this week because hes the ryder cup captain.
Next year he'll likely play his last two majors at Augusta and St. Andrews barring he has another beyond belief performance in the Open. I think its great seeing Watson compete at this level this well at his age.

No, they can't. The round had already started when the 1st rain delay happened, and they weren't playing lift, clean, and place then. The first group had played 2 holes when the rains came. The PGA could've elected to restart the round under lift, clean, and place, but they chose not to. Part of me believes it's because they thought scores would get out of hand if these guys had the ball in their hands on this soft track. The major scoring record of 63 probably would've been in real jeopardy.
