and then we get to laugh at them all offseason after Georgia beats the shite out of ND. It will be a perfect example of why Kelly left

Not to mention he’s giving up the possibility of one playoff game for multiple playoff games and possible championships

An Alabama loss, convincingly.

Why convincingly? Two loss Bama is out regardless of how they lose.

No it should be 4 best teams as it always should be

then why do we play the games? this argument holds no water and it never will.

the "best" 4 teams is completely irrelevant because that changes game by game. the best team today might not be the best team tomorrow. Teams don't perform at the same level every game and this year shows that more than any other.

So you put in the teams that earned their way in rather than putting in the teams that have the best "peak" potential

Agreed Bama is out with a loss. The eye test component does not go in Bama favor this year where it would have in previous years.

would think Baylor is on point to jump ND right now and make the playoff. They are beating the piss out of the #5 team and will have a big 12 title to go with it

ND has one loss to what will at that point be the #3 team in the country.

Baylor has 2 losses, one of them to an absolutely terrible TCU team.

And that's not even considering the media/ drama aspect of ND making the playoffs.

Committee would destroy any credibility by putting them ahead of the team that beat them.

And ND will get blown out by Georgia. Reason why Kelly is coach at LSU

Yep. Losing to ATM was bad, and some of their wins have been very meh. They don't get in with 2 losses, unless they lose last second after dominating the game or something, which isn't going to happen.

Georgia 35
Bama 17

Has there ever been a successful black head coach at a major university with long tenure, let's say five years minimum, of success that actually won something of significance?
Hasn't David Shaw won 3 PAC 12 titles & several Rose Bowls? How many opportunities have Black Coaches had at major Universities compared to the hundreds of Whites who've failed to win anything of significance?

LSU fans made it seem when they were lookokg to make it look less bad that BK left a possible playoff team.

How does this make LSU look bad?

So the other games on the schedule don’t matter, just one

Of course it matters … people on here talking foolish… if ANY of the teams lose not name Georgia… Norte Dame is in and deserves to be… it’s more when lose than who lost to

2-1 in the Rose Bowl. 5-3 overall bowl games. Been at Stanford for 11 years with a winning percentage of 674. I'd say that's a respectable showing.

There's been quite a few but you can look that up.
I'll just say this, black coaches shouldn't be shunned from coaching at major universities for whatever reasons but neither should black coaches be hired at major universities for diversity sakes just because they are black with no resume of success to justify their hire.

Cincy or Okie St. could lose and ND still wouldn't get in. BOTH could lose and Cincy would finish ahead of ND in the ranking and there's a possibility that a 2-loss conference champ Baylor would get in ahead of ND.

Notre Dame would need Georgia to win and ALL of Michigan, Cincy, AND Okie State to all lose, to even have an outside chance at making the playoffs.

Notre Dame will squeak into the playoffs and get embarrassed by Georgia. That predictable scenario is why Kelly wanted a change of scenery.
