I don't feel confident about this game. I think it's a toss up, with ND getting the edge being at home. If Stanford can't figure out how to run the ball, its gonna be tough.

Stanford's nothing special. If people think "Stanford should beat them" they are just going off of phony name/or ranking wins.

Look at USC now, they should be 1-3. And Stanford beat a pure freshman (2nd game) QB by 14 points.

Look at the Ducks - game was about to be 34-7. Then an Oregon TD was called back and then next play Stanford scoops and scores a goal to go fumble for a 90-yard return TD. 27-14 in two seconds...and then it took Stanford the entire 2nd half to make up the rest of that score. Oregon dominated them in the 2nd half.

Now...

Look at the Ducks at the end of the year.

Stanford is average...a great Top 10 team would have beat USC in week 2 with a kid who should be a senior in high school by 35 points.

Stanford under Shaw has been one of those programs that gets a lot better throughout the year, and it usually starts right about now. Frankly, I can't ever remember a year during their current run where they came out of the gate super hot sans maybe 2010.

After the bowl game, I'm surprised they went back to Wimbush.

Some of the ND hate in this thread is laughable. They have the #2 SOR behind only LSU right now.

Have a feeling the Michigan win is going to look a lot better as season plays out and a Stanford win will be impressive as well

Add another top 15 win to their "weak" schedule

They look good tonight, but have been pretty mediocre the past couple games. I still think they slip up and lose one.

Based on how cuse played today, we will put up a fight in yankee stadium as long as this clemson game doesn't demoralize the team. Notre dame looks good tonight though

Pitt is the only bad team on their schedule. No great teams but it won’t be any easy run.

I don't agree with win and they are in. They would have to win with a lot of style points, Clemson would need a loss, and UGA can't be undefeated heading into the SEC championship game.

At minimum the 3 SEC schools in front of them will have 2 teams with 1 loss, so even moving them ahead of 1 loss teams gets them to 5. At that point it becomes SEC team, OU, Ohio State, Clemson, and Notre Dame, and we see how serious the committee is about winning your conference.

Everybody’s “tough” schedule looks “weak” like Notre Dame’s, unless you play Alabama and/or Georgia. The “great” teams aren’t that “great” this year. Every team remaining on ND’s schedule probably will have a winning record (close call in Tallahassee), so their schedule on paper will be top-15. One or no losses, and they’re in, fair and square, regardless of their name.

An undefeated power 5 team is in, full stop. Four undefeated power conference teams hasn’t happened since, what, the 1980’s? Longer?
