She broke the law. She did so because in the country she hates, she cashes her minority and victim card daily to live an entitled life that grants her certain privileges. It never even crossed her mind that she would be held to the same standard as everyone else in Russia.
And no, I don’t agree that this board would have a different opinion if it were a different athlete. The lesson in all of this to follow the fricking law. No matter the country. I understand that’s a difficult task for certain demographics.

If they're going to plant evidence on someone in hopes of getting a prisoner exchange out of it, they'd pick someone who matters. Griner is not a high value target and there is not a snowball's chance in hell that we should even consider exchanging her for the arms smuggler they want back.

If you’re suggesting they looked at her bags longer than usual or they arrested her instead of immediately asking for a bribe, I can believe that.
