You know what’s funny is it’s mostly Saints fans shutting on Dak, yet he has played significantly better in his first 3 seasons than Drew Brees did.

So he should be paid like a top 3 QB?

I saw on a board the other day that Dak deserves to be top 3 paid because the cowboys are the most valuable franchise and their qb should be paid. Dumbest shite I’ve ever heard. Paying him 40 million won’t make him good.

The downvoted will flow, because Saints fans hate a lot of things, the truth being the biggest of all.

3 season with NO or 3 with SD?

Prescott is going to earn 2M this season. Kirk Cousins will get 27.5M. How is that fair?

I think he's suggesting that because the Vikes were stupid enough to panic and overpay for an average QB that Dak is entitled to the same stupidity. Or something.

Bruh, he isn’t half the QB that Wentz is....Dak is a borderline backup QB in the league
Where do you people come from?

Dak-51 games started

66.1%--246.3 total yards/game--4.5td%--1.7int%--96 rating

Wentz-40 games started

63.7%--267.4 total yards/game--4.7 td%--1.9 int%--92.5 rating

For reference Wentz is now making 32 million per season

This board may have Dak as the NFLs most underrated player the more I read this thread

can confirm reports that QB Dak Prescott has, in fact, turned down 30M a year offer and is instead seeking 40M a year per source informed. #Cowboys

My God what a power move. He knows the stats prove he's an above average but not elite QB. Despite that, his agent knows the Cowboys are in "win-now" mode and having to get a new QB is going to hold them back likely for 2+ years unless they strike gold in next year's draft or want to roll the dice with Alex Smith. What a leverage move. My goodness his agent is a fricking a-hole but smart lmao. You know who's not happy to hear this? Zeke and Amari. He's gonna cripple the team with this contract.

You forgot to add the career records..

Prescott 32-16 (1-2 in the playoffs)
Wentz 23-17 (never played in playoffs)

Everything has to go right for Dak to be successful, it’s all dink and dunk and lean on the run game. Most of us can use our eyeballs....the dude is trash

Is that why he only has 20 yards less a game than Wentz and almost the exact same td%?

You apparently dont

Dak has an average of 5.5 air yards per completion

Wentz was 5.8

Doesnt seem like they are really "dinking and dunking" any more than the other

If Dak gets anywhere in the vicinity of 40 mil/year the Cowboys will never win a SB with him as QB.

Is that a hot enough take?

You can go deeper in the stats, and Dak is still better through 3 seasons than Wentz. Dak averages more yards per attempt and more yards/completion.

Plus, Wentz only has 4 fourth qtr comebacks and 4 game winning drives.
Dak has 8 comebacks and 14 game winning drives.
