Blows my mind that people are going to try to overpay for such a mediocre QB

He’s gonna wreck the chemistry for whatever team he goes to

That's cool. Maybe Nico can then look forward to a converted d-line coach running the offense. Worked in New England.

Yep. Sounds like he is going to land at Western KY. He isn’t very good.

I just saw a clip of Ryan Clark blaming...

Mario Cristobal for Nico's situation. Because Cristobal paid Carson Beck 4 million to transfer

No matter where he ends up, if it actually goes from 2.5 to 1 then it’s one of the biggest bungles I’ve ever seen.

Well, college is for learning life lessons. It appears that he has a chance to learn a big one.

Louisiana Tech needs a quarterback. We probably can't offer $4 million but I bet we could come up with $4K

But will it be enough to take in a culture where many kids still live in their father's household even after getting married?

You love to see it. Unfortunately he played himself.

Someone needed to be made an example of because this shite is broken. Finally some common sense and “no one is bigger than the team” prevailed.

I’m no Tennessee fan, but hopefully the NIL donors can recoup some money due to breach of contract and further put the pinch on him.

This is likely the absolute best thing for the sport.

The market was going insane and now it can kind of be level-set again for a period

Doubtful. Nico's bad timing just makes it easier for him to be froze out because being this late in the offseason more programs are set at qb or tapped out money wise. Everybody thought Sluka would struggle to catch on after quitting on UNLV but he found a home at a comparable program because he was in the normal free agent period.

We'll see.

And yea the Beck transfer kind of screwed stuff up. He wasn't good this year and got a huge payday so that kind of created an inflated pricetag.

It's all just something people need to learn from a bit

I think Nico has opened the door to being given promises that don't actually get fulfilled at the end of the day.

This certainly is hardball now. If there's any nuance in a contract or uncertainty, people may not give him the benefit of the doubt.
