That was how I felt last year, but a little more excited this year to see what Kelly brings this year.

Yeah definitely more excited about LSU this year, i went to the UCLA game after that all interest was gone I’ll always watch LSU, I watched in the 90s FFS bur for CFB overall don’t really care, i didn’t watch down one of the playoff last year.

It’s absolutely fricked Saban was a transient coach who never spent longer than 5 years anywhere and will spend the last 25 years of his career at Alabama.

Alabama just lost out on a National Championship because the 4 team playoff gave Georgia a mulligan. So I guess that’s even

At least Georgia made the SEC Championship Game. Something Alabama didn’t do in 2011 and 2017.

He sure doesn't sound like that. I actually think he does like the kids. It keeps him young. He will die within a few months of retirement...or his wife will kill him.

Sounds like semantics when comparing the SEC West to SEC East. The East Champion is 1-13 versus the West Championship since 2009. Not to mention that the lone win in 2017 ended up losing to team from the West in the National Championship

Saban looks like he is Mid 50’s. Dude looks great for his age.

He's opened a 12 lane highway to the NFL thru Tuscaloosa, he doesn't really even need to try and recruit. At this point the program and promise of millions of dollars at the end sells the kids.

He may not be their best friend and let them run wild, but let's not kid ourselves. The dude walks around practice telling Deez Nutz jokes.

Players get along with him just fine.

I love how “adapting” means the dude can’t coach what he has but can “buy” better

Can't wait until he turns into Bobby Bowden the last few years of that contract and starts going 8-5 or 7-6 every season.

Yep. He's going out like Bowden and The Bear. Coaching way past his prime and putting a shitty product on the field.

I think I might retire as a fan before Saban retires as a coach.

Meyer taking over Florida is what really killed Bobby.

Making his son Jeff the offensive coordinator and trying to groom him as his successor killed Bobby. Meyer nailed the coffin shut.

It’s funny to me people still run with that stupid narrative when there is plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise

The last year coach Bryant coached at BAMA was 1982. He had his team as high as #2 in the land. He also beat then #3 Penn State 42-21 in B'ham. Penn State went on to win the national championship that year.

Furthermore, an undefeated Alabama beat a one-loss Arkansas team under Lou Holtz in the 1980 Sugar Bowl for the national championship. The next year BAMA finished ranked #6 in the AP and the year after that BAMA finished #7 in the AP.

The fatal flaw is to ever compare coach Bryant's football accomplishments with Bobby Bowden. Anytime.
