Absolutely amazing

Incredible considering they started 5-1. 5-7 isn't out of the question either this season.

They were 5-3 last year, and ended up losing by 3, 3, 7 in OT, and 3 to finish the season.
I'm almost to the point that if someone told me Bo Pelini put a hex on the program when he was fired, I'd believe them.

Pelini was a recipient of the Hex. His teams always blew it and were crazily disorganized.
The Hex was Frank Solich being fired who had tremendous success elsewhere while Nebraska floundered.

All I remember from the huskers this year was the worst overtime performance in football history against Illinois

South Carolina fans are not surprised. We experienced offenses led by Marcus Satterfield.

He went to Ohio. (Not Ohio State, the little MAC school - Ohio) and did perfectly fine there, but I wouldn't call it "tremendous success". Coached there for 17 seasons but only went to 11 bowls (though, to be fair, MAC teams can get left out of bowls all too often).

But that is because he was there for 17 seasons. Divide the number of wins by 17 and you get 6.8 wins per year average. In the SEC I think only Vanderbilt would keep a coach on with that for so many years.

didnt he win 10 games multiple times there?

So I guess you don't understand that averaging 7 wins per year for 17 years at Ohio is actually great then.

Won 9 or more games and was bowl eligible every year he was there.

I, for one, can't wait to watch Iowa and Nebraska in a couple of weeks.
