Let’s make it even better

Miami wins by 31 over the 22nd team on the road and stays pat at 12

Bama wins by 4 over a 5-6 team in final possession and they move up a spot

Auburn would be a 20 point favorite over Stanford, Auburn lost to top 10 a&m on the road by 6 , top 10 Oklahoma on the road by 5 , top 5 team Georgia was an inch from being down 17-0 to auburn. They realistically could have been 8-4 , 9-3 team. Notre Dame sos is in the mid 40s bama 's is in the teens . Bama is the only power five school to have 2 wins over 10 plus winning teams.

Yeah that's the funny part about all this. Everyone was screaming about how ND hasn't played anyone and how they always get favorable treatment

This is unreal

You were outgained by a 5-7 team and won by 7 on one of the last possessions of the game and you are legit making the argument that should move you up in the rankings

Dude, I hate I now have to put you in the complete idiot that lacks all logic bucket. Jim I get but it’s sad for you

I have always thought Miami should be ahead of ND etc

But regardless of what I thought, the committee had ND at 9 and Bama at 10 last week

All that happened waS ND crushing Stanford and bama squeaking by Auburn and now they leap bama up

That’s complete insanity. This had nothing to do where any of us think ND should be ranked. It’s just the complete lack of any logic or reasoning by the committee based on their own damn rankings

I mean...look at our rushing yards in that game against Auburn though. We had almost 160 yards of rushing offense against one of the best rushing defenses in the country on Saturday. The Committee chairman commented on our lack of rushing attack two or three weeks ago as to why they ranked Notre Dame over Alabama. Clearly we've improved that aspect of our game in their eyes.

The logic is sound.

Brother, I didn't say anything about the committee process itseld It's pretty clear it's inconsistent. I was just commenting to the fact that I'm not losing any sleep over ND getting "shafted."

Speaking of Miami, I think this move also set the stage for Miami to make it. When BYU loses they'll be "bumping" against each other and I think they give Miami the nod.

It's retarded how they're going about it, but it's happening.

There is zero logic ever with the CFP committee. They make up whatever they want to week by week and team to team. Sometimes wins matter, other times losses, other times records, and even injuries. They need to be removed and replaced with a different system.

Alabama loss means they are out. In that case, Miami and ND both make it.

We wouldn't score 20 on Stanford. We barely crossed midfield against Kentucky, at home.

It's very frustrating, and I don't understand the logic at all. It'd have been fine if it were #9 Alabama / #10 ND last week (which I would have been OK with - it was razor thin last week both ways as well) and stayed pat, but given the performances last weekend, that is the adjustment the Committee came up with? What the frick were they looking at?

This all goes back to Alabama pissing away the Oklahoma game. Oklahoma is going to be outright and by a good bit the worst at-large team no matter who gets the last few spots. Now you have Alabama (6th in FPI, 7th in Sagarin, and 9th in FEI) and Notre Dame (3rd in FPI, 2nd in Sagarin, 4th in FEI) sitting behind Oklahoma (16th in FPI, 13th in Sagarin, 13th in FEI). Then you also have Miami (7th in FPI, 6th in Sagarin, 10th in FEI) well ahead of Oklahoma as well. This would be very clean if Alabama hadn't pissed away the Oklahoma game (at home) or if Miami hadn't pissed away two games to 8 - 4 ACC teams.

Let’s expand the bama jumping ND this week

Last 4 games against FBS opponents:

Notre Dame:
• Beat 9-2 Navy by 39
• Beat #22 Pitt by 22
• Beat 3-9 Syracuse by 63
• Beat 4-8 Stanford by 28

Alabama:
• Beat 4-8 SC by 7
• Beat 7-5 LSU by 11
• Lost to OU at home
• Beat 5-7 Auburn by 7

It is embarrassing for Notre Dame that they keep annual games with turds like Stanford to avoid playing in a real conference.

Does ND have a bad loss? They lost to Miami and A&M by like a combined 5 points. I know the SEC likes to use their “good loss” theory.

Don’t forget that BAMA was boat raced by a terrible FSU team.

Committee just proved (like last year) they are spineless, rudderless and will flip litter pop their rankings even if some of the teams in the rankings didn't even play.

Committee heard all the Bama media, social media, YouTube pundits, sports personalities and probably the SEC-Rant complaining non-stop about how ND is overrated, "Committee is biased" fix is in and Bama should never be ranked below ND.

So they caved, and its SO obvious. Only rationale to swap 'em is they heard the criticism from Finebaum's trailer boys.

Oh and now if Bama loses to Georgia, they get more wiggle room to keep them in the Playoffs...Crying and lobbying does work with this Committee... They have always surrendered to outside noise...SEE FSU.
