Makes sense.

We had to wait a long time and the came back with some really interesting games. Now teams aren’t as into it because they playoffs are set.

Interest will pick back up when the games matter.

Exactly. I'd wait to make threads like this until/if the playoffs have lackluster ratings

so we just gonna ignore the support of China in regards to the Hong Kong protests?

“Right side of history”

A phrase usually spoken by myopic hypocrites.

That would be true if that was what was going on here. It isn’t.

What is going on here is many times more important. Racial injustice here has directly affected them and people they care about. It is their lived experience. China, is not.

If only that’s what it was really about.

Cool story. It would actually matter if their stance was to stay silent on Hong Kong and to stay out of China when playing games. But turns out they actually are not, in fact, on “the right side of history”

If you only care about what you are experiencing then you really aren’t against “racial injustice”.

Jesus dude... people are literally getting sent to camps and killed in China. Whether the players give a shite or not that is much worse than “someone said a mean thing” or protesting the false narrative that police are out to get you

So, you’re saying that black people in America are many times more important than any people in China? Sounds “right side of history” to me.

Bringing up China is nothing More than what We have come to call a whataboutism. It is when someone tries to deflect from one issue by bringing up a different one. It is like the people who bring up the Chicago murder rate.

Considering black on black crime directly affects these players communities and families, the Chicago example is on point
