I don’t see it as some huge loss. Took a shot at Melo that didn’t work. But you can’t play Kanter vs GS or Houston in playoffs so his value is no bueno.

This is definitely preferable to stretching Melo. It’s only a few million more for an actual player. Makes sense.
Man, Melo going to Houston is exciting. I really can’t wait. I saw the guy hit like 8 jumpers in a row while jogging around in an Instagram video. So much game left. Definitely the x-factor the Rockets needed to put them over the top. The egos of the Banana Boat Boys are finally paying dividends for the rest of us.

That would be fine if you didn’t just have to deal a first round pick to get rid of the guy you got for them. It wasn’t a good trade for OKC, can’t win them all

Any trade of Melo that didn’t involve them taking on some of the salary or stretching, was a win for them
