Brunson was like the 5th most important player on the Knicks tonight

I would have to agree! His 29 points have to be the quietest 29 I can remember because I can’t think of anything other than his last And-1 where he scored! He just looks lost out on the court. That game was easily the Spurs to win and he turns the ball over on a play that just made zero sense to try! Also, even after that he gets a great look at the top of the key, a look you HAVE to make and he clangs it off the back! Props to the Knicks as they have taken it right to him and played great team basketball!

Can’t bank on it. Who knows if Wemby becomes a guy that craves a different market?

Maybe but every game will not be like that for Brunson.

Fluky that the Spurs came back at the end. That game ended the way it probably should’ve. Wembanyama needs to develop a low post game to take the next step offensively.

All-Time choke by Wimpy!

Missed middy with 30sec left.
Terrible turnover & foul with 9sec left.
Missed great look to win at buzzer

Through 2 games, KAT is the easy MVP.

That’s all I’m saying. Can’t just say they are young and will be back. We’ve see. The Dan Marino script play out before.

What an awful end to the game

More about the Spurs failing to deliver late, than the Knicks taking it. The game winning points were on FTs after a horrible pass by Wempy. Game One - the Knicks delivered late, and the Spurs were terrible when it mattered. Knicks gonna sweep, and New York will be a City of Champions again.

BTW - Landry Shamet is shooting 27-47 from the three in the playoffs, including 23 of his last 33

In past 2 games in crunch time Wemby:

G1 - 2 shots off the side of the back board
- dribbles ball off his foot

G2 - passes ball to his teammate’s back
- immediately has bad foul that leads to game winning FT

San Antonio’s championship was defeating a depleted OKC in seven games. OKC wore down Wemby and the Spurs. New York is finishing the job. It feels so good to see Spurs tears for now.

KG was right.

He KILLED Wemby for his over the top emotional reaction after winning the WCF.

It was very bizarre.
