Kawhi Leonard, through his new agent, Harrison Gaines, issues statement:

“Integrity and respect for this game are fundamental to who I am. I accept full responsibility for lapses in judgment by people within my inner circle and regret the distraction this situation has caused the fans and my family.

I entered into my contract with the Clippers as well as the agreements in question in good faith, fully committed to fulfilling my obligations and with no knowledge of any intent on anyone's part to circumvent the salary cap.

For 15 years, my priority has been giving everything to my family, the game, and those I share the court with. As I return to Toronto, I am focused on what I can control, closing this chapter, and moving forward with a clean slate."

Seems like he isn't showing integrity and is blaming someone else for something that was his final decision.

Probably took more since they're so far out in the future.

I didn’t realize that, I thought they essentially said they found no evidence of wrongdoing.

Was also probably the only way Balmer wasnt forced out. They definitely penalized the "team" in a very severe way that idk most people expected

Uncle Dennis caused all of this include organizing him departing Kawhi leaving San Antonio.

He probably did cause all this to enrich himself.

What in the world did I miss? I thought the NBA said they didn't find any wrongdoing.

Uncle Dennis’ scumbaggery dragging everyone down

Only the Clippers.. lol... they paid about 30 mil under the table, all Unc got was a ban from NBA stuff and Kawhi has to repay 700k ... so they came out millions ahead

Unc & Kawhi - 30 mil plus under the table.. minus the 700k fine

Clippers - lost 30mil under the table, another 30mil fine and 5 1st round picks

Probably true but you don’t fire Uncle Dennis if he was following your orders

Not really. Pretty much no explanation why he was paid 7x Leo Dicaprio, Drake, or Robert Downey Jr. but never did anything.

Don Van Natta Jr.
Baxter Holmes
Ramona Shelburne

Should be ashamed. They’ve been operating as PR agents and mouthpieces for Ballmer and the Clippers.

That was an ESPN article. NBA released the statement below shortly after the article came out.

quote:

NBA spokesman Mike Bass: "ESPN's article regarding the LA Clippers investigation - for which the NBA declined to cooperate - contains numerous and significant inaccuracies. The results in this matter will be made clear once the investigation is concluded."

That was clearly just the Clippers feeding some crap Ramona Shelburne and other reporters who had cozied up with the organization.
