It’s not about if he’s inside the line or not. It’s a judgement the ump makes based on if he feels the runner interferes with the players ability to make a play on the ball.

The ump saw the position he was in and then saw gurriel’s glove go flying. It’s probably a lot easier to make that call than you think. It’s a boom boom play and he may have gotten it wrong. Doesn’t matter now.

Except I’d never receive an education in such a substandard county. *shudders*

I figured it was somewhere not around here. I knew I watched at back home for summer. That’s cool you got to watch it that way.

The call was bad and I would have burnt shite down if it went against Houston.

In fairness to the ump. He sees the guy running in the grass, just barely but in the grass and then the glove goes flying. Umps should get together after big calls and ask each other. “Did I frick up?” And then they can fix it

Yup. People were freaking out because obviously the nationals were right at 5 years old then and still pretty bad. Then he had tommy john surgery a month later and things were back to normal

It was the right call based on his view. The umpire doesn’t have the ability to look at tons and tons of replay cameras. He is looking down the line and sees a runner near gurriel and the glove go flying.

Yup, it's like watching LSU hitters.

bullshite.

You better be 100% sure he was inside.

His left foot hit the middle of the bag.

Yall need to stop arguing this. It's a bad look.

would be the 1st time in any of the 3 major sports that have playoff series (NHL, MLB, NBA) where the visiting team has won the 1st 6 games of any series
