Nate Oats on Coach K wanting to delay play due to COVID-19: “Let me ask you a question. Do you think Coach K would be saying that if he hadn’t lost those two non-conference games at home?
Between K this year, and him blaming his tirade last year on Kobe bryants death, are people finally starting to see the real Coach K?
quote:
Tom Izzo if NCAA should halt hoops season
"You talk about mental health. These kids were stuck at home for 5 months. Imagine being 20 years old and being at home with your parents.
The greatest mental health is when an athlete is in athletics."

The fans have always known the truth about that guy, he's a complete scumbag.
For some reason the media has always propped him up and is continuing to do so, just about every single article about K's statement is glowing praise about how wise he is, absolutely nobody will call him out for only doing this because his team sucks out.
The media is the enemy of the people. They are against the mainstream opinion on pretty much every single issue, be it something important or something trivial.

Coach speak isn’t in Oats vocabulary. Dude just says what he’s thinking

I like this Nate Oats.

Yes. Coach K is saying it b/c he's 73 years old and in the prime demo that COVID kills.

Coach K can opt out then. There are a bunch of other people who depend on college hoops for a living that aren’t multi millionaires like Mike.

Coach K is welcome to isolate himself if he is overly concerned.

Was he saying it before the season?

I totally respect what he has done as a coach. He took over a program in a conference where Dean Smith made the rules. He turned Duke into a national power while abiding by tough academic standards. Those days have passed, and the game has evolved.
He’s not ‘holier than thou’, as he dips into the one and done pool as much as anybody else. I’ll say this...you don’t often hear of his players getting in off-court trouble.
That said, he’s a dictator with his program. He probably is an a-hole. So is Saban. At the time, John Wooden’s players thought he was an a-hole. I’m reading about Don Haskins, and the same is true for him.
I don’t think this is anything new. The media just has a funny way of bringing this stuff to light.

K and Bilas with their platforms - please spare me.
It was widely known Chris Duhon and family were bought out of Slidell. He's as dirty as they come.
Everyone wants to prop up all these long time coaches - let me tell you something, the state of college hoops runs straight back to these long time coaches that set the market and have flaunted the amateurism going back to the 80's. Even Tarkanian said, if you are not playing the game, you are at the bottom of your conference standings.
Yet K and Bilas continue to be all holier than thou
Give me a break! Call college hoops what it's always been - pay me under the table professional league.

While no on the level of UCLA (no one was) and Kentucky, Duke was a national power BEFORE K took over. In fact, it was K struggling in his first few years that brought the program DOWN. Three years before K got the job Duke lost in the national championship game to Kentucky. The season before K go the job Duke lost in the Elite Eight. Duke had been to four Final Fours in their history before K arrived.
Certainly K has taken Duke to unbelievable heights. But it is a myth that he took this nothing program and made it great

Now do coach Sam Pittman. He’s the poster child for whom C19 kills. Dude camped out for a week in his pool house. Had a damn English Bulldog for a nurse and beat COVID.
frick off with this shite.

Chinese Flu didn't seem to concern him the first 4 games. His morbidity all the sudden became a concern of his after the 2nd loss?
