Been living in Raleigh for 5 years and have never seen anyone wear Braves gear.
I haven’t even heard anyone say can you put on the Braves game at a bar.

I’ve always been mystified by that.
When you drive or fly into the Raleigh area, you notice the tall pine trees much more so than the oaks.

I don’t think NC gets an MLB franchise, but this definitely won’t be the reason. The Braves would block any expansion team that close to them. NC is a huge part of their market.

If Bulls, why not build the ballpark in Durham and promote the Durham Bulls to MLB? It’s a cool, established brand. Could be like the Packers of MLB, despite the city being a major player in the fast growing Triangle metro area.

In 1998, the Minnesota Twins looked at (or used as leverage for a new ballpark) relocating to the Carolinas with Kernersville, NC being the destination city. Kernersville is located between Winston-Salem and Greensboro.
