Will be a great organization until June when they’re force to push sexual preferences on everyone for 30 days straight.

They just had over 100k show up in downtown Raleigh for the Hurricanes Stanley Cup parade this morning.

That a lousy figure.

Knicks ‘26 - 2,000,000
Seahawks’26 - 1,000,000
Thunder ‘25 - 500,000
Panthers ‘25 - 400,000
Dodgers ‘25 - 250,000

I’ve gotten to the point where I’m rooting for Nashville and Charlotte/Raleigh because of how many times I’ve heard this nonsense.

It won’t be Braves country anymore if they get a team.

First, the Lakers moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles, where there are no lakes.

Then the Jazz moved from New Orleans to Utah, where they don’t allow music.

Back when Utah and LA met regularly in the Western finals, it was always said that the 2 teams should swap names.

Seattle metropolitan is 4x the size of Raleigh metropolitan. They had 1 million at their victory parade for America’s most popular sport. Raleigh, 1/4 of the size, had 150k for America’s 4th most popular sport. I’d say it’s fairly proportional.

No, not necessarily. We grew up with getting Braves on tv, but I can’t think of a single die hard Braves fan and I’ve lived in NC for 30 years.

That’s disappointing to not know your own home market

Oh well. The good news is it’ll remain Braves country because it’s not getting a team

Lol don’t get offended. I’m not saying people don’t root for the Braves, but people just aren’t as attached to them in this area as those on the outside think. TBS played a huge role back in the day, but with how easy it is to watch anyone at anytime, the Nationals coming into the picture, and the number of transplants here, there just aren’t many die hard Braves fans. Just an observation from someone who actually lives here.

What about OKC, which is smaller than the Triangle?

Same size, good for them. They deserve the Thunder…not part of my argument. Should the Dodgers move because they can’t get more people at their parade?

If MLB expands and adds a team, where should they put it in your opinion?

Portland, Salt Lake City, Austin, Nashville, and either Charlotte or Raleigh. Moving the White Sox to Charlotte makes sense.

Portland, Austin, and Raleigh are all very similar to me. I guess you could argue Austin deserves it the most but if NC is Braves country as one poster stated, then what does that make Austin?

I don’t want to see Charlotte get an MLB team, but I don’t necessarily have a great reason why.

You forgot Vancouver Grizzlies to Memphis because there are grizzly bears all over Tennessee.
