I think it's passing TDs. As long as your QB is efficient and moving the ball, who cares whether you get a one yard TD run or a one yard TD pass? And comparing the TDs to ints? Awful. It's why I always thought the Brees record was dumb.

Time of Possession is becoming obsolete in college football.

Time of possession can be just as good as a stifling defense.

Some interesting choices, but you guys are trying too hard.

Saves is far and away the worst, most meaningless and destructive stat ever. An entire strategy has been built around the "save". It is a complete abomination.

Wins by a pitcher is a distant 2nd.

Assists, you can make a great pass and the guy misses the shot or you can make a crappy pass and the guy makes a great shot.

Saves seems to be a popular answer. Why?

Errors. Why is this one of the "big three" on a box score? Errros are not nearly as critical to the flow of a game, so much that when the score is displayed, I need to see hits, runs and total errors. So why are errors so prominently displayed?

As far as a stand alone statistic to measure, it's pretty awful. Really good MLB fielders convert 98.9% of their opportunities. Average MLB fielders convert 98.5% of their opportunities. Bad MLB fielders convert around 98.1% of their opportunities. In the general scheme of things, it's not that critical.

Between basketball and football, +/-. I don't care about baseball so can't comment on saves.

i say touchdowns in general... you can score them and have no relation as to how the ball actually got down the field on the drive...

W/L for baseball pitchers. If the team has a terrible defense and terrible batters the pitcher is fuggged.

It HAS to be total passing yards. I mean YAC inflate a lot of QB's stats.

Was just about to post this.

To those saying saves, am I safe assume you're talking about baseball and not hockey?

If YAC inflate QB's yardage, then receiving yards must be overrated too. What about the distance a pass traveled in the air before a WR catches it? A WR shouldn't get credit for a 20 yd TD they catch in the end zone?

QB yards and WR yards play off of each other. It's give and take.
