There's a legitimate argument that can be said that teams like Alabama are likely to play more games against teams like Clemson or FSU if they stay OUT of the conference, rather than joining it.
And I'm not necessarily talking about playoff match ups.
Consider if the SEC sticks to the childish 8 game conference schedule, Bama may play FSU once every 6 years or so. So, maybe twice in the next decade plus.
The 2 schools, not in the same conference, are more likely, IMO, to sign a home and home agreement in quicker time.

I think it's funny FSU and Clemson have beaten their chests the most when UVA and UNC are probably much more sought after.

Florida State is going to the BIG. SEC doesn’t want them.
I don’t think SEC wants either FSU or Clemson. I could actually see Clemson ending up in Big 12 and FSU in B1G. I think SEC has their eyes on North Carolina and Virginia.

It’s crazy Miami has been in the dumpster for 20 seasons now. Les miles absolutely wrecked them. It’s the longest they have been down since they became relevant under snell

The only quality in the acc is fsu, and we already own Florida and either Duke or Virgina ot Va Tech, two states we do not own yet

NC and especially UVA are going to circle-jerk themselves into the academic big ten argument
FSU and Clemson both have rivalries in the SEC, I like to think that eventually, someone making decisions at ESPN will realize that matters to the fans

The SEC will take whoever ESPN pays the most for, that is Clemson and FSU

cable markets do not matter anymore and hasn't for the past couple rounds of expansion. The biggest matchups generate eyeballs.

How so? And if you’re going to give up on exit fees, why agree to unequal revenue sharing?

This is the end of the ACC as we know it. We had a good run.
Looking forward to joining the SEC in the coming years and reconnecting with our Southern Conference brethren.
The ACC will continue after the departure of Clemson, FSU, Miami, UNC et al, it will just be a lower tier league - great at the non revenue sports.

Things would have been even more unstable without GORs. GORs are the only reason why Texas and OU were in the Big 12 well into the 2020s, and why the ACC hasn’t fallen apart yet. Heck, even the PAC wouldn’t have survived as long as it did without its GOR.

. If you get that in front of a judge it likely falls apart.
That's because most judges are political and legal hacks.

So the increased revenue is based on 5 year TV ratings? Schools should game the system and play as many Friday and Monday night games as possible. That's why FSU's ratings were inflated for last year because their first 2 games were literally the only games on TV.

FSU was also highly ranked coming off a 12-0 season
The conference should control the channels and time slots for the games
