think we need a daily baseball thread like they have a daily NFL and NBA thread

Agreed and this thread shows it's sustainable

ETA: It would basically be a thread for everyone but Astros, Rangers, Braves, and Cubs fans. So that would be ideal actually.

Seems unfair to McCaig IMO.

Yankees seem to be hell bent on wasting their prospects this year going all in on a team that isn't all that good.

Good enough to snag a wild card spot? Probably. Good enough to win a title? I doubt it. Just wait six months and throw all the moneys at Darvish

Nah, Yankees are linked to everyone because well they are the Yankees. They've spent and traded prospects so long it is engrained for people to think they will.
At least they are checking it out even if it isn't suitable.

The Brewers are exploring the possibility of trading for Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler, ESPN’s Buster Olney tweets. The Brewers have also recently been connected to Tigers trade possibilities like Justin Verlander and Justin Wilson, so it’s possible a deal for Kinsler could be one of many trade scenarios involving Detroit they’re considering.

They've "wasted" one real prospect and he wasn't a guy who will be up for another 2 years, at least. And they got controllable contracts in return.

This is still the same team that was 15 games over .500 a month and a half ago, before the bullpen struggles began and all the injuries piled up. Now they have one of the best bullpens (on paper) in the majors, and most of the guys are back healthy.

They aren't great, but they are certainly pretty good. Anything can happen in the AL this season. Cleveland is 4 games over .500, and a decent amount of people would still pick them to win the American League right now.

As long as they don't trade Torres, Adams, Frazier, or Sheffield

Well some...

Yankees fans have disappeared. We use to have 5-10 that would keep a game thread rolling. Now it is me and BB03

Or you guys (and the other three teams I listed) have their own daily threads.

But go ahead and keep your schtick up.

I would imagine those guys are off limits.

Have they thought about giving Chad Greene a look as the 5th starter? Or do they think his stuff and velocity is best fit for a middle inning guy that can throw 1-2 innings when he comes in.

Cessa and Mitchell aren't the guys, IMO.
