Eh, Kershaw, wood, hill is fine for the playoffs if you ask me

If the worst thing we can say is that we have a rocky game 4 starter then I think we will be ok

I just don't know if you can count on Rich Hill (and his blister problems).

But yes that is a pretty good 3some. Not as good as the Nationals though.

If you add Darvish it becomes better

Hill has kept his blister problems in check and his starts are really restricted, I'm not worried about that until I have to be

And I think our 3 compare pretty nicely to the nats 3. Especially since hill has gotten his command back under control

I'd take the Nats by a bit, but the Dodgers bullpen might be the best in baseball while the Nationals might be the worst

This sound horrible, but I am kind of pissed we won tonight

At least it was against someone directly in the Wild Card race and not Philly or someone.

Darvish goes 8IP, K'ing 12. 77% percent strikes, second straight game above 73%

I wish they would just re-sign him and end all of this

You see Ranger favorite Sam Dyson seems too have gotten his groove back in San Fran? he's pitched about equal innings for them as he did for Texas this season and his numbers seem to be back in line with previous seasons.

Everything I've read/heard recently on the radio points to that not happening.

Not shocking. The only thing wrong w/ him earlier this year is that his sinker wasn't sinking so he was giving up fly balls left and right. He was bound to figure it out eventually.

Oh I know and it pisses me off. I'd love to see their contingency plan to letting your ace go

He actually made his OKC debut yesterday apparently
Didn't make it out of the first inning. I'm still high on Beuhler though.

I think we need a daily baseball thread like they have a daily NFL and NBA thread

sounds like a job for WCA

ETA: It would basically be a thread for everyone but Astros, Rangers, Braves, and Cubs fans. So that would be ideal actually.

According to the New York Post, the Yankees had a scout in Tampa Bay to watch Darvish's start and it was a good one to see considering he showed both the ability to stretch himself out deep into a game and maintain his velocity deep as well.
