frick having to face Bauer in a potential Yankee playoff series he’d prob no hit us
Just throwing this out there. I see your point because the Astros just can’t hit that guy...in the regular season. His only post season appearance vs Houston 4IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 HR, 1 BB, 4 K

The Indians are NOT going to be sellers at the deadline. I just don't see them trading either Bauers or Hand. The Indians are 22-8 in their last 30 games and have trimmed a 12 game lead by the Twins, down to just 5 games. The first series of the second half of the season is at home vs the Twins, so the Indians can make up some serious ground. After that series, the Indians have one of the easiest second half schedules in Baseball. Not to mention the Indians have been doing this with about 7-8 rookies in the lineup. I don't think the Indians are doing anything to jeopardize this season. Just wait until the get Kluber back...rested!!

There’s interest “around the block” in Bauer, one official told Joel Sherman of the New York Post. The Astros “are said to be among the most interested,” Sherman writes. Houston has questions in its rotation now beyond Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole and Wade Miley, and Verlander is the lone member of the trio who’s under contract past this season. Bauer would somewhat help cover for the potential exits of Cole and Miley in 2020.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic characterizes the Cleveland organization as “aggressive listeners” when it comes to Bauer (audio link via Twitter; further discussion via subscription link). That’s an understandable position for the organization to take. After all, any deal would have to both respect the team’s immediate prospects for contention and represent a significant boost to the future outlook.

Gray says his experience with the Yanks was “absolutely” a positive one, even though he ended up being left off the postseason roster on the heels of a brutal regular season (4.90 ERA in 130 1/3 innings).
“I think everyone kind of knows that New York wasn’t a great fit for me, place for me, last year,” says Gray.“It just didn’t seem to work out, for whatever reason. But looking back, I wouldn’t change one thing about it.”

Does anyone think the Padres would move any players? like maybe Yates?
Still in the wild card race but you'd have to say odds are pretty low since there are 8 or more teams all around the .500 mark.
However, it's also the first season in over decade that actually has fans excited for the future so I could see them wanting to finish strong and at least stay somewhat in the race.

No one ever knows or understands AJ Preller's deadline strategy. He might trade Yates and then trade for Brad Hand.

Padres are looking to trade an outfielder for more pitching I read

Noah Syndergaard could be dealt this month, albeit at a high cost. The #Brewers are among the teams monitoring him
This is the content I'm craving.

I wonder how many HR's he would give up in Miller Park as he is already on pace to break his current record this season.

Astros are included in this, say good bye to Tucker

Cleveland will trade Bauer. He is going to get paid.
Dolan is still trying to shed payroll.
You know, to sign Lindor.

I’m good with parting with him for Thor or Bauer

Don't need him but I would love to get in this party for thor

Padres showing interest as well, Yankees are essentially out of it since they would have to over pay it seems

I fully trust BVW and the Coupons to totally frick this up. Who has the best aging, overpriced, over the hill veteran that we can trade him for? Preferably someone who used to be a client of BVW.

Back off bitch.
I'm all in on Syndergaard. Dude strikes me so much as being similar to Cole. Elite level stuff but hasn't put it together consistently yet. Would love to see what he'd do under Brent Strom.

Hell, i wouldn't put it past him to throw in Alonso or McNeil...its getting really hard to be a Mets fan.

This is really the only iffy year. Everything else has been flat dominance. It's really only a question of if he can stay health y
