its about the time. dont know how interesting its going to be this year in terms of big names, probably bumgarner, but there should be a decent amount of moves as a bunch of contenders are in need of some help in the pen. will post updates as they happen this month

weird bullpen market. there are a bunch of buyers but a lot of teams that looked like they would be sellers of elite options have started to turn their season around

if the pirates or nats take another nose dive over the next two weeks we can probably see doolittle or vazquez but it looks like hand is now squarely of the block

ken giles and will smith can be interesting options

Dodgers won't do anything about their bullcrap. They have been pitching better and so Dodgers will wait until the trade deadline to see if Kenley gets his groove back, which I don't think he will. It will be interesting if Joe Kelly regains his form as it looks he might be doing. Will the Dodgers relegate Kenley for Joe Kelly being the closer?

Fun fact: the Reds are in last place but are closer to first place than any second place team in the other five divisions.

I think Reds look for good deals to help for next year. I don't see them pissing away prospects for old players, past their prime.

Ownership committed to winning, made moves, team is winning games, continue on the path. Don't sell out for a 1 year run, to maybe be 5 back in wild card. I like what they have done there, continue the same path.

Like I said, they may at the deadline but they will wait to see if Kenley or Kelly get going.

You really think Kenley is going to get any better? He is in that slow decline with a way lower velocity and less cut. He has never had great location so all that equals blowing saves.

If they buy, it will be for relief help, which won’t cost any big prospects.

Was reported earlier in the week Houston was talking to Detroit about Matthew Boyd but Detroit wants Kyle Tucker and Luhnow said that ain’t happenin

They also wanted Tucker for the JV trade so it’ll be interesting if we could work around that again

Be interesting to see if the White Sox trade Colome to a contender.

I do not see the Nats being sellers.

With only 1 Deadline, no more waiver wire trades, shite will get real after All Star break.

You don't get the whole month after deadline to make waiver wire moves, MLB changed that. You have to get it done on deadline(or before) day.

Keep an eye on the Marlins looking to sell controllable arms for young bats. Caleb Smith is the one ready to help a contender.
