Ray makes me nervous in Yankee Stadium with the amount of walks he allows

That’s a good deal if it’s just for Frazier

Several Reds players have called him the best teammate in their clubhouse. Dude has busted his arse this year, and he gives a shite. A team like St. Louis good use someone with his enthusiasm. I honestly hope the Reds re-sign him.

Mets still engaged on Syndergaard (who’s been linked to SD, Hou, NYY, Oak and Minn) but still seem much more likely to deal Wheeler. Makes sense. Stroman trade highlighted Mets interest in 2020; Noah under control thru 2021, Wheeler a FA after year.

Yeah it would me too, I'd love him in Busch. That career high 12.1 K/9 hides a lot. And really, the 4.0 BB/9 is only .1 higher than his 3.9 in 2017 when he finished 7th for the Cy.

Indians are increasingly unlikely to trade Trevor Bauer. Word is, ownership is reluctant to part with a big star with team in position to make playoffs and possibly even win division again

Cardinals seem to be highly interested in Robbie Ray or Greinke. I’d love either. I love trade deadline time!

The Cards are on Greinke's no trade list and he has been vocal in the past about not wanting to go to St. Louis.

I have a suspicion the Astros are going to make a play for him. go back to all the big last minute signings by the Astros; Verlander, R. Johnson, Clemens, they were never in the mix. I think they make Zona eat some of his contract and Astros now have a 2 in their rotation when Cole walks.

ETA; Clemens wasn't a trade deadline acquisition, but still a big name

Not sure how something that happened 15-20 years ago under different front office and ownership is relevant to today

Clemens had been talked about for months if not years.

@martinonyc
Rivals say Stroman trade specificallly made it noticeably more difficult for Arizona to get price it wants for Robbie Ray. Which was obv more than the relative pittance Jays got for stroman

If Yankees are offering Frazier for Ray that may be the best they can get

Are the Reds trading Puig or letting him walk?

Trade if they could get something I'd assume
