Pride is definitely a sticking point for a fan of an organization that has never won a championship. LOL

I’m surprised how little the Jays got for Stroman. The Mets could move Stroman this offseason or next year and would probably get that kind of value from trading Stroman.

Laughable

ETA: But I guess if you don’t trust how you evaluate and develop prospects it’s the only way to go

Some Mets information, per sources. The plan is to hold on to Marcus Stroman, not flip him. They are increasingly unlikely to sign Zack Wheeler to a contract extension. The likelihood is strong they deal at least one of Wheeler and Noah Syndergaard. They’ve hijacked the market.

Too many teams over value their prospects anymore. Used to be really bad but that is changing.

@BNightengale
The #Padres are not optimistic about acquiring Noah Syndergaard in a trade with the #Mets, believing the pricetag remains too steep for their taste.

The Mets are a disaster. Trading two prospects for a one year rental and in the middle of the season when you aren't even in the race?

Yung Arye

Meanwhile, poverty Mets:

@AnthonyDiComo
In addition to Marcus Stroman, the Mets received some cash from the Blue Jays in the deal to offset the roughly $2.5 million remaining on his contract.
