The Giants are now buyers but not big players as buyers. They aren't selling. They are the epicenter of nothing.

I saw another Mets scout is at the Braves AA game as well. It’s really interesting because the two pitchers starting for the Braves are Kyle Wright and Ian Anderson. The two top Braves position players also play in AA. I don’t think any of those guys would be move for Wheeler. I don’t think the Braves move Pache but I think everyone else could be moved for Thor. I think Waters or maybe Riley would have to be moved for Thor. The Braves would move probably something like Waters, Anderson, and whatever the Mets wanted outside of Pache.

Riley, Wright, Wilson, Ynoa, and Dean for Synderrgaard and Diaz

#SFGiants had a high-level scout at Matthew Boyd’s start in Detroit on Tuesday, which supports @Feinsand’s report about the Giants potentially *buying* in the coming days. @MLB @MLBNetwork

ETA it is probably good for the game to have them buy and go in but it’s also incredibly dumb. They are going to risk their future for possible one game playoff with Max Scherzer pitching

Dodgers arent trading Lux cause he is legitimately needed going forward. May is more likely.
I think Lux and May are the two untouchables in the farm system right now. Will Smith just got called up to replace Barnes. I think any other prospect, as well as Alex Verdugo or Joc Pederson could be on the table as trade bait.

I think may could be moved in a deal that brings back both Syndergaard and Diaz or Lugo. But yea, I think lux is untouchable at this point and I think they would be hesitant to trade smith

Pretty remarkable turnaround for Lux. His first full year of pro ball was not awesome

I remember being upset that year that we didn't take SS Delvin Perez, who went 3 picks later to the Cards. He was the higher rated player. Turns out the Dodgers knew what they were doing. Perez failed a drug test and is still at A ball for the Cards.

Lux always had a high floor, and is a high character guy. Who knew his ceiling would be so high?

I remember feeling the exact same way

I wanted Perez

I remember shrugging my shoulders on Lux and not necessarily liking the thought process of taking a guy we clearly wanted to take short once we moved corey to 3rd

But that power has come from nowhere and his arm strength has kind of taken a left turn so maybe hes a power hitting second baseman which is interesting
