Plus by all accounts he's a great locker room guy. No questions at all about his character or attitude, unlike, say, Verdugo. I like having guys like that on the team.

But yeah, my projection for Lux was a .280, 10-12 HR 2B with good defense.

Yea. Unless I'm mistaken, he was pretty involved with the whole rape thing that a couple of our minor league guys got accused of.

Dont remember if he was accused of rape, but that he was present when it happened, let it happen, and then wasnt very forthcoming when questions were being asked

I've wondered about that too. Seems like the veterans gave him an ultimatum and it took. He's still got some hot dog in him, but I've been amazed at his consistency this year.

ICYMI LINK #Mets are listening on Diaz/Syndergaard but the biggest sell might not be to get the best package, but convincing ownership that major sells are the right approach at this deadline.

Would teams be more willing to make trades if you could trade picks? So you could trade your pick 2-10 but protect 1st and Sandwich round pick. Or would you allow them to trade all picks?

I'm sure they would just because there is never really a sure thing especially if you are picking at the bottom of the first round

I don’t want the mlb trading draft picks. You already have people complaining that the league is full of teams not competing and that makes it worse.

You also have the issue of adjusting the salary pool for the draft.

Mets are doing the right thing evaluating Syndergaard market, but belief still is someone would have to blow them away to pull trigger. Wheeler, returning today, is only other trade piece with real trade value. Vargas, Frazier have played well lately but value may not exceed pay.

yea, there's such a disparity in the quality of front offices; and the quality of the front office is the main differential in MLB this era. This will exacerbate that disparity.

is your source the NY Post for this, or did you see it elsewhere too? the only source i've seen narrowing it down to those 2 teams is the Post.
