Dodgers arent trading Lux cause he is legitimately needed going forward. May is more likely. May, Ruiz, and theyd probably want verdugo. I'd be inclined to give them verdugo cause ive never been too on him. For noah and Diaz. Would probably need a couple smaller pieces but that whole be the three main pieces
Our best pitching prospect and consensus top 15 guy
Our second best catching prospect
A promising rookie

Never thought the Mets were serious (part of me still doesn't) Noah will be a Met on August 2nd

If ryu hadn't stepped up like he has we would probably be motivated enough to make the offer I just laid out which would probably get it done. But I doubt the dodgers get too involved for noah so it depends on if the padres just say frick it or if the Astros decide to make a move

MLB Network said the Padres should offer Renfroe, Margot, or Reyes, MacKenzie Gore, and a young pitcher

If that is ever offered the mets need to take that as quickly as they can

If anyone on MLB Network said the Padres should offer Gore, the top lefty pitching prospect in baseball, I'd assume it's Harold Reynolds, a crack addict or both.

Makes sense. He makes fricking terrible trade proposals. He'd be the worst GM ever.

I generally try to grade major moves by how long it would take me to accept. That would be near instantaneous

Morosi was on there last week saying he'd trade Whitley and Tucker for Boyd. Crack. Head.

I'll take Giles right now, then leave him off the postseason roster. Would be great depth for the pen

The key part of that equation.

Allard Baird, perhaps Van Wagenen’s top lieutenant, is watching the #Braves AAA team today. Atlanta last year was the team that tried hardest for Wheeler. Atl also has the farm talent to go for DIaz or Syndergaard if the #Mets were willing to do something that big in the divsion.

Would be stupid not to if they offer the most

I saw another Mets scout is at the Braves AA game as well. It’s really interesting because the two pitchers starting for the Braves are Kyle Wright and Ian Anderson. The two top Braves position players also play in AA. I don’t think any of those guys would be move for Wheeler. I don’t think the Braves move Pache but I think everyone else could be moved for Thor. I think Waters or maybe Riley would have to be moved for Thor. The Braves would move probably something like Waters, Anderson, and whatever the Mets wanted outside of Pache.

[quote]syndergaard apparently could cost a top 30 prospect and a couple solid pieces. whatever that means [/quot

The calm before the storm: Team executives predict it be quiet through the weekend and then a rash of trades beginning Monday, in particular the final 12 hours, before the 4 pm ET deadline Wednesday. The #SFGiants, winners of 17 of their last 21, remain the epicenter of talks.
