I cant imagine Astros and Rangers will allow Austin

Raleigh would be better than Charlotte IMO
Maybe Salt Lake is ready for another major sports franchise?

Does the State of Louisiana need one? New Orleans?

Baton Rouge.

ATL is 8 hours away and they won't let us watch the Texas teams. Put a small market boutique type franchise there with a really nice 25-30k park with nice SRO areas for young families and beer bros. Or New Orleans but preferably baton rouge.

They can dual use the superdome like they did for LSU baseball games in the 90s and early 2000s

Is that really you in that Avatar?

Huge disadvantage for the midwestern teams! Rather stay the same with what we have now and it makes a lot sense since the teams are much closer and are better fit. Now you want to flip the who league around? No thanks!

Portland would have a massive turnout for a bingo game.

Playing bingo isn't the same as playing baseball!

MLB will pick Memphis or Nola watch. There has been a lot of discussion on lack of black interest in baseball.

Have you seen the fans at most Stadiums?

This would be a huge mistake. If anything they should reduce the number of teams.

Why not do the same for all Sports? There are way too many teams! Might as well shut them all down!

I’m gonna say it, Chicago only needs one team.

Wasnt Cleveland on the brink of losing their team? i seem to recall their stadium lease running out and then they'd likely be looking to move. Maybe more now with the mascot change and all.

my theory on that is that it's the weather that causes this.

Oakland continues to make progress.

The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission voted 23-2 to reclassify a 56-acre terminal at the Port of Oakland as a mixed-use area where a new ballpark could be built. The vote is the first in a series of legal hurdles the team would have to overcome before it gets permission to break ground for the project.

Louisiana at least needs a minor league team. It’s embarrassing that we have zero teams especially after New Orleans had AAA.

Small regional tv market. Portland is geographically compromised. Down the Willamette Valley beyond Eugene there isnt much, beyond the Cascades there isn't anything worth mentioning. It's Seattle's market. I thought they would go to Vancouver to pull in the Calgary, Edmonton, and Victoria markets

Portland is the 21st largest TV market. Larger than:

#22 Charlotte
#23 St. Louis
#24 Raleigh
#25 Indianapolis
#26 Pittsburgh
#27 San Diego
#28 Baltimore
#29 Nashville
#30 Salt Lake City
#31 San Antonio
#34 Kansas City
#36 Cincinnati
#37 Milwaukee
#38 Austin
#40 Las Vegas
#50 New Orleans

Portland would be a slam dunk MLB success.

New Orleans still has Zephyr field. Just no home team. I believe it is owned by the state of Louisiana

It's no longer going to be suitable for baseball. New plans in progress as I mentioned.
