Not saying I don't believe you, but can you link or give more solid info on these "plans" to convert a perfectly fine multimillion dollar baseball stadium to a field used by (1) a piss-ant RUGBY team and (2) occasionally for high school football, such that it can't be used for baseball again?

That is interesting. I can’t believe New Orleans would just give up on minor league baseball.
I’d like to see Baton Rouge step up and build a park downtown. We should be able to support a double A team for sure.

Why not? Teams currently already do it
The idea of baseball teams and football teams using the same stadium has already been tried and it did not work. Plus Allegiant Stadium was not designed with a baseball configuration in mind.
