Baltimore isn't going anywhere and Oakland is locked in on Vegas.

Unless you're Vegas, you need to be looking at expansion.

I would add Montreal as a candidate. They have some deep pocketed businessman.

Yeah instead of 27 and 28yr old rookies. We'll get more 30yr old rookies.

I don't know why he mentioned the Twins either. They lead their division. They draw fairly well. They spend money. And play in a gorgeous park.

How many threads do we need to have for people to understand attendance is not what drives whether or not a market is a disaster or not?

It doesn't? Ya better have a helluva local TV/Radio deal and along with huge
built in footprint if you wanna think about being competitive long term unless you can find a retired hedge fund mgr with $10 billion in his pocket.

Attendence is a huge factor with the Braves revenue (4th in MLB in '21) and this is with a mediocre at best,TV deal.

Vancouver, Montreal, Nashville, and Vegas would be great locations.

Same with the Cardinals. They make it seem like they'd have to fold up shop if less than 3MM people go to games each season.

Move the Astros back to the National League where they belong.

Four 8-team divisions. Abolish the wild card. Go back to no DH in the National League.

Why? Start up costs are ridiculous and you better be prepared to sustain losses if you wanna think being competitive with the big boys.

BTW why wouldn't Baltimore relocate? The city is dying and their market can't sustain 2 MLB team that close to each other.

There's zero long term sustainability in Baltimore for a MLB team.

People in Venezuela And the DR love baseball though so MLB is gonna chase those big corporate dollars in Caracas and Santo Domingo. The suites will be filled out every year

Venezuela would be a tough sell. I think a fairly significant amount of players would refuse to play games there out of legitimate fears of themselves or their families being kidnapped and held for ransom. It has happened before.

would cum buckets if Louisville got a team but I seriously doubt it happens

I don’t see it happening either. The Bats have consistent fan attendance but 3A is about all this city can handle. Plus, Cincinnati is only 1.5 hours away.

selfishly want this in Nashville and wish they would build on top of the existing Sounds site and integrate into the fabric of the city

the Stars team name comes from Nashville's Negro League team by the way: LINK /

With all the tech money and otherwise flowing into Venezuela surely they would make it work. Matter of time before some forward thinking owner tries to get a piece of that market

Lets just assume the expansion is Nashville and Portland for the sake of argument. How would this alignment look to you?

Everything I've read says they are going to realign the leagues like the NBA and have an Eastern and Western division.

Too bad on Havana....would love to see a team of mostly Cubans and how they would fare.

Ideally though a team in the Southeast is a no brainer....either Charlotte or Nashville but not both. Out west though, and choice become limited, you could find Sacramento with a team
