When does he become the MVP favorite

He's not even the Dodgers MVP. Freddie had a better run a few weeks ago and has been more consistent over the course of the season. It was Freddie's run along with the bullpen becoming better that propelled the Dodgers from 2 games up on the Giants to 19 games up.

Betts has a higher OPS by .021.
The case for Acuna right now would have to hinge on the HR-SB combination. He's headed for completely uncharted water, but a good argument could be made for both of them. It's close.

It's Ronnie's to lose.

Nobody going 70-35/70-40 along w/his OPS is gonna lose the MVP.

FFS, Rangers bullpen blows another lead late in the game.

Defense is part of the equation too. I'd give Betts the edge there. He's good on defense, and versatile. Outfield, shortstop, and second base.

Ronnie is a GG RF'er.

And the MVP is strictly an offensive award. Ronnie is the better offensive player as of now. Period.

Diamondbacks goof up on the bases only scoring a run when they should have at least 2. Kelly, only given up a hit in 7 innings, pulls something warming up between innings. And the Diamondbacks bullpen immediately gives up 2 runs.

And just like that, Carroll goes yard for a 3 - 2 Diamondbacks lead. Good game.

I saw where Flaherty had his start skipped today for BAL, said he didn't bounce back right or feel right after last start.

Acuna wrapped that up before the break.

And he's done nothing since then to keep it wrapped up. He's hitting too much shite on the ground. Betts should be the favorite as it stands right now.

C'mon VA,

If he goes 70/35, 70/40 he's not losing the MVP.n

A lot of you guys are overthinking this.
